Big V clubs in hunt for Thomson

Adam Thomson is in demand.
Unwanted by Port Adelaide and searching for a new AFL club, midfielder Thomson is being courted by three teams in the lead-up to next weeks exchange period.
However, Adelaide, it seems, is not on his radar.
All three of Thomson's suitors are Victorian clubs, according to his manager, Justin Reid.
"There's been alot of interest in Adam from across the border," Reid said.
"You're never quite sure what will happen in trade week."
"But with the interest that's been shown - some clubs really seem to rate him - we're pretty confident Adam will have a new home by the end of the week.
"Thomson, 22, is seeking a trade after a lack of opportunities at Port, which played him just seven times this season despite starting a rebuilding program midway through the year. The Power is seeking a third-round draft pick for the hard-nosed, inside midfielder.
But it is likely to have to settle for a fourth-round pick, given Thomson is a free agent and can nominate for the pre-season draft, where Port would lose him for nothing.
Despite playing just 28 matches for the Power in four seasons after being selected at pick 11 in the 2004 national draft, Thomson has not lost faith in his ability to make it at AFL level, according to Reid.
"He's confident he's got what it takes to take his game to another level and become a regular AFL player," Reid said.
"Adam's never doubted his ability but the cards haven't fallen his way."
"He was starved of opportunities at Port and not really used to his strengths."
"He's an inside midfielder who can dish the ball out to running team-mates but Port - which drafted him as a replacement for Josh Carr - played him more as an outside player with an emphasis on kicking goals.
"If he is used the right way, I'm sure he'll have a lot of good footy in front of him.
"Reid said the Crows had not shown any interest in Thomson who had a standout season for Sturt in the SANFL.
"They've got a few players like Adam, so I think they're looking for more leg speed," he said.
