Dunno what the hate is all about.

If a club can manage his OP better, and Essendon has surely made a meal of that, this kid is a gun when fit in my opinion - and I don't even really like him and I hate the Dons.

Not many blokes 200cm tall can take a mark standing on another blokes head and jag goals from 50m+.

He often missed from 25 out in front though.

And you can't really factor in his "if you get him right" value too much. He's played a handful of games across 2 seasons. Not worth much more than a late first round pick for mine.

Dororo wanting Nick Blakey  :rollin.

Mind you this is the same club that thought a couple of weeks back that they could get Jeremy Cameron and Stephen Coniglio  :wallywink.

That can in a funny way be good if they peak at the end of the year when everybody is back. But you have to win enough games early.

Essendon has made no secret of the fact that it wants to be like Richmond.

Well, there was something markedly different about Essendon in its pre-season victory against West Coast.

Dare we say it … but it was ‘Richmondy’.

One preseason game apparently makes Essendon like Richmond  :lol.

Over summer, as the Bombers implemented some game plan methods successful at Punt Road, it was left to Townsend to do some of the directing despite only just arriving at Essendon.

"There's times when we've been out training and there's blokes who have asked me what we should be doing here because it's what we were doing at Richmond, so it's a bit of a weird feeling when people like Michael Hurley, a two-time All Australian, was asking me, 'What should I do here?'," he said.

They might want to try and win a final first after 16 years before wishful thinking talk about flags :stupid.

Every preseason (this shutdown is effectively one) they can't help themselves being deluded and pumping themselves up before the footy restarts and reality reminds them they're actually crap  ;D.

Admittedly we hadn't won a final in 16 years...
