The problem is Ramps all will be sugar coated if we get within 3-4 goals of the Cats...................AGAIN

time and time again respectable performances prevent hard decisions being made.

i cant believe some people asked for an extension of his contract last year.

Our list and skill level has NOT changed since he camt to the club which means he has got to GO
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

You're right Daniel.

An honorable loss against the Cats, 3-4 goals from Browny, 35 uncontested nothing possessions from Bowden, 20 kicks at 80% accuracy from McMahon and they're safe for another 4 weeks.

We tip the Tigers to beat the Doggies because we get sucked in again, and we cop another flogging.

You know what the sad thing is, there will be no action. Not 1 of those things listed by the guy on Big Footy will happen. Not One. We are a rabble. And in the next 2 years the Gold Coast comes in to take all the picks. We are fcuked.

I doubt we'll be able to sugarcoat things playing Geelong. They won't be showing any mercy. You really have to wait until round 6 for the side to redeem themselves. Liam Pickering mentioned how the Cats got absolutely flogged by Melbourne in round 1, 1994 and they still went onto the GF. It's how we respond over multiple weeks that will test the group now that reality has hit.

Wallace will come out and announce he doesnt want a new contract after round 6. Unless we win our next 5 games.

Make of that what you want

Wallace is an egotist. It's all for Terry.

He walked out of the Bulldogs with a game and a year to run on his contract. Rumour was rife in 2002 that he was the first choice candidate for the Sydney job after Eade got sacked and he was packing his bags to head up there. It turned pear shaped for him as after Smorgons initial disappointment he declared that he would force Terry to honour his contract if he took the Sydney job which in effect was a disguised blessing for the Swans as they got to two Grand Finals from Paul Roos tuition.

Even in 2002 Wallace lost his first five games and only missed out on the 8 by a game or so from West Coast.

Wallace may recover as the season goes on and pull the plug and do it his way. Wallace will not be made a fool by March or anybody else. He will then settle nicely on his cushy new media role and let all the crap roll out then in due time presenting Richmond as inadequate and himself as the poor lamb that was sent to defend himself from the raving pack of wolves.

There may be some validity in your statement there 1980. :thumbsup

Where are you getting this historical info?

Wallace had 2 years to run on his contract. The one game is irrelevant - he was sacked after round 21 when he told the bulldogs he wouldn't continue after 2002.

Eade wasn't sacked by Sydney. He resigned on June 26, 2002 (walked before they could sack him).

Yep, Wallace was allegedly chased by Sydney to coach them. Was allegedly going there.

If Smorgon declared he would force Terry to honour his contract it wasn't in effect a blessing in disguise because the pressure to give Paul Roos the job for 2003 came from within the swans.
It was actually a bit more than pressure. It was an uproar that the caretaker coach might not be given the job.

On the surface it seems a bit rich that Wallace would allegedly be negotiating a deal at Sydney when employed by the Bulldogs on a contract.
In reality, who wouldn't try to secure their future elsewhere if it's not working out where they are and before giving notice to the current employer?
