What I like least about Bowden's comments is him only talking about trying to be competitive this week, not trying to win

What question was he asked?
In what context was this reply quoted?

I don't believe that people still, in this day and age, judge others on what a journalist or sub editor sees fit to print. ::)
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Bowdens remarks show why we arent successful. In life people start out to win or achieve a goal or an ambition, at RFC we have experienced players who just wanna compete lol ... what a joke. It would be like having the opportunity to root a supermodel, but deciding youll leave after the first drink...  :lol

thats what you say
he did more good for the club showing the younger players how to play under preasure & what to do at them moments than lose the game
he won games for the club taking marks in defence,  putting his body on the line like he has done all them years
he is still out there because he is the required player & thats good enough for the supporters who back him
not to mention l prefer to see him at Tigerland than being in a skunks jumper
Bowden will play 300 games for the club so what you have got to say about him means nothing
hope he plays a blinder this week & shoves it up your ass

Thanks TM I hope he has 25 possessions in a passive defensive type game where he lingers next to a marking ruckman to take the easy handball. Holds the ball up from a defensive mark for 45 seconds or until all our loose players are manned up then he kicks it 15 metres down the line only to get it back for the next possie, and then watch Cam Mooney take a strong mark whilst Bowden has a go at a 2nd year player who should have laid a better tackle. Then if we are fortunate enough to lose by 83 points again we can't blame Joel as he was a stalwart in defence with 25 possessions and close to 100% efficiency compared to last week.

Bowden is a fraud of a player.
Bowden is a fraud of a public speaker.
His conference on Tuesday was nothing short of embarassing to the type of footy club we have bred at RFC and the fact that he said what he said and he is the public speaker for the club. Its not just alarming its absoluting mindblowing. :whistle

Nothing personal to you TM.Just my opinion on Bowden and the sorry on and off field state of affairs regarding our players. :thumbsup
