1) Do we get rid of Wallace now or do we wait, if we wait - we could miss out on a good coach going forward.
Achieves nothing to sack him now. Just more money out of the door (paying him out and then paying a caretaker) which would be better spent elsewhere (recruiting and development) and no list changes can be made until October anyway.
2) Do we tank, to get the last of the concessions before GC comes in
Well if play like we have against the Blues and Dogs against most sides then we won't have to

.
3) Do we retire all the old blokes together in one hit, or do we retire half this year and half next year
Nup. Bowden and Johnson will retire this year. The other 4 you make a decision at the end of the year but most likely at least 2 of them will still be around next year.
4) What to do with blokes like Hughes, Edwards, McMahon and co. (and all the others)
Jordie has another year on his contract and no one will trade for him so we're stuck with him in 2010. All list decisions should be made at the end of the season not after 3 rounds. A question now is who will stand up and deliver for the team.
5) Who can we trade out
Depends on what other clubs want (they won't want our duds) and what we are willing to give up in return for their offers. This year there'll be no first round picks up for trade that's for sure. It's too early to talk trades after 3 rounds

but IMO there'll be very few trades again this year given it's the last draft before GC hog the 2010 draft.
6) What are our trade priorities - Ie. Who are the trade targets to come to Richmond
None. How about we do something novel at Richmond and not trade any of our picks away for once

. We've picked up only 5 kids in the past two drafts. Now they are good kids but nowhere near enough. Need to load up again this year with a minimum of 5 or 6 in the National draft.
7) Football policy- do we go with a policy of picking blokes who can kick footy properly
That should be a given with any draftee but you want more than just a good kick (on both feet). They need size, natural footy ability and smarts as well. No point being a good kick yet not having a clue on how to use the footy under game pressure. Being too specific is what lead to us drafting Fiora ahead of Pavlich also.
In 2004, 2005 and 2006 we were failed by the recruiting of Miller and company. We shouldnt let it happen again.
Lack of resources. Everything was left to Miller and Beck before/with him. It was amateur hour expecting just one or two individuals to have detailed knowledge of 100s of kids right around the country. We were still recruiting like we were back in the 60s/70s.
AND LASTLY on the Issue of MILLER
At the end of the year, I will be forwarding a resolution to the club for the AGM. The resolution will be that no paid employee of the footy club can be on the board of directors. The disgraceful situation we had with Miller should never happen again. You cant have a General Manager (Wright) appraing the work of an employee and that employee sitting on the board appraising Wright.
It was just a disgrace. And RFC members should also accept responsibility for that, the members fell hook line and sinker for that rubbish. It cant be allowed to happen again.
Sorry Ramps I disagree with you portioning blame to RFC members for that situation. We didn't send this club broke in the 80s from which the club is still recovering from 25 years later. If we had the money to delegate responsibility to numerous staff and provide them with the necessary resources required to run a professional AFL club then we would have. We were trying to run this club on the smell of an oily rag with Miller wearing so many hats he could have opened his own hattery. The current admin which the members finally had a vote on have put the club back in its best shape off-field in 3 decades. Still along way to go and it hasn't delivered onfield success but that's not the RFC members fault either. We've honoured our part of the bargain providing record memberships over the past couple of years.
