I hate Sydney but they were dudded by the AFL by taking away their home ground advantage and making them play at that terrible surface called ANZ stadium. The SCG would have been available one of the last 3 days. It would have been a different game at the SCG. The swans were minor premiers and were almost punished because of it.

When I was a kid, if anyone had said you'd get 60k at an Aussie Rules game between two Sydney clubs, they would've had the men in white coats pay them a visit.

Obviously, it was a Swans dominate crowd but GWS had a decent amount of support behind the goals and roar when they kicked a goal for club that's only been around for 5 years.

The ANZ ground looked the best it's ever looked as well on TV (although players were still slipping over). Too bad it was the last ever Aussie Rules game to be played there.

Yes I'm so glad our future's being sacrificed so that a few thousand more people in Sydney will have more than a passing interest in the game and the broadcasters might get 3 or 4 extra ratings points in NSW....or at least enough not to get out rated by repeats of Wifeswap again....
