The Author of the article is a greasy, slimmy, hairy bastard. Just another article trying to smash us down.

Infamy may not be talking about Connors in particular, or for that matter, footballers. People as human beings (even you and me jack) make mistakes and have their failings;to desert them as young people is pathetic!

I agree, although how many chances to you give them?
Also , it impacts on the team and there lies a huge issue when you start playing ''favorites""

I know nothing of inside dealings at the club and rely on this forum for that! Is Connors a popular bloke with the playing group when not on the sauce?

Exactly, you don't just give up on people like that, you try to help them through it. Connors knows he's on his last chance, the length of the suspension proves that. If he fails one more time then he's out. I've tried to help mates through drug addition before and stuck by them when no one else would, sometimes you get through to them and its a great reward, other times it bites you on the ass, but you should at least try until you can't take it anymore.

Yet the bite on the ass hurts nothing like sitting back, washing your hands of someone and watching them struggle with something that probably they have inherited from someone else or a past they can't deal with!

I understand he's had plenty of chances, however this is under an old coach and he's never been suspended from the club either. It's midseason and he didn't rape anyone like Lovett allegedly did, so he misses almost half the season and is told to get his poo together or he'll be delisted at the end of the year. Pretty simple motivation if you ask me.
