Trouble in Dutton's paradise.

https://www.theage.com.au/politics/federal/liberal-frontbencher-accuses-angus-taylor-of-treachery-incompetence-20240611-p5jksj.html

Liberal frontbencher Hollie Hughes has launched an extraordinary attack on shadow treasurer Angus Taylor, accusing him of using his authority to push her off the senate ticket for the next election and undermining Peter Dutton to bolster his own leadership chances.

Hughes, who holds junior opposition portfolios of mental health and NDIS, claimed Taylor’s decision to endorse a challenger to the NSW senate team was an attempt to bolster the shadow treasurer’s numbers in Canberra for a potential future leadership tilt.
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

there wont be a single person on this site except 2 that would defend that stupid decision, and especially ahead of ND.

I especially liked use of the descriptive “cum sock”
Thought it summed things up rather accurately

Andrews getting an AC is just worth it for another manbaby meltdown and tantrums from the sooky sooky la la LNP parrots :rollin.

LOL at them running off to mummy and daddy (foreign royal rep.) when they don't get their own way even after getting flogged at repeated elections :lol.

But apparently everyone else who is not them is "woke" and easily offended. Such embarrassing hypocrites :lol.

Just like they ignore the ONE TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT the previous LNP federal govt. left behind with nothing to show for it after almost a decade in power. That's on top of the out of control inflation at 6%, rising interest rates, hidden 20% jump in power prices, structural budget and infrastructure deficits, multiple rorts, and deliberately designed stagnant wages that left behind an utter economic mess  ::). They couldn't come up with one energy policy in govt. after 27 attempts at it yet they deludedly want everyone to believe they now have the answer with their "nuclear in 20 years time" fairytale  :wallywink.

ps. For the record, every Victorian premier except Cain snr, Cain jnr (IIRC didn't accept cause his father didn't get one) and Hollway (expelled by the Libs who denied him one) and every PM except Keating (who refused it) and Morrison (who will eventually get one) have been awarded either Imperial or Australian honours. Every Conservative PM and most Conservative Victorian premiers even got given an automatic knighthood up until the early 70s. Of course, pommie Abbott tried to bring that back cause he wanted one himself :wallywink.

pps. And also for the record, Neale Daniher AO deservedly is already an Officer of the Order of Australia  :thumbsup.

MT has 65 in his corner, Enough said.

FWIW Damo. Victoria is represented on the Council of the Order of Australia by State Department of Premier and Cabinet secretary Jeremi Moule, who was promoted to the plum public servant role by Mr Andrews.

Also does anyone know else received this highest award he did. It certainly wasnt ND. Abbott did and you could argue he didnt deserve it either, but next to Andrews he deserves 2 of em.

Mr Potato head at his finest.

https://www.theage.com.au/politics/federal/climate-change-dutton-to-pull-australia-out-of-paris-agreement-20240608-p5jk91.html
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has signalled he will scrap the nation’s legally binding 2030 climate target and risk Australia’s membership of the Paris Agreement on climate change, following his vow to deploy nuclear energy to reach net zero by 2050.

The opposition has said if it forms government it would build up to seven emissions-free nuclear power plants to replace the energy supply from Australia’s dirty coal plants, which have begun to shut down across the country. He would also pause the rollout of wind and solar farms.
Good luck Voldemort trying to win back the former Liberal heartland from the Teals  :wallywink.

Add to that a confirmation that the LNP luddites are no longer a supporter of the free market  ::).

I'm all for nuclear.

We have the world's largest uranium deposit, are surrounded by sea, most people live on the coast and the majority of the country is uninhabitable desert.

Makes a lot of sense.
