Tom Hislop was in there with brilliant jumper punches on Maxwell. Plenty of blokes going at it but the football was in play. If Bowdo went around and belted blokes then his haters would be all over him for going out in a dirty way. He couldn't win that day, not with his haters and certainly not on the scoreboard :lol

maybe because their was a fall out with the playing group is the reason they never backed each other up

Another bag of six for that dud Schulz. Who happens to be leading the Coleman medal!
At least we got Farmer and Nason for him in return.

You just have to laugh or you'll cry.

By that stage Sarge had zero trade value. The biggest mistake was a year earlier when Port were willing to offer pick 28 for Schulz but Greg Miller got greedy wanting a swap of first round picks and blew the whole deal. Add the ridiculous Adam Thomson trade for pick 42 and it was one right royal screw up. So rather than having 4 picks inside the top 42 we were left with only two. Of course Plough was heading into his final year of his contract and we were "locked and loaded" for 2009  :P.

Revisit what we could have got for picks 28 and 42 and that will definitely make every Tiger cry  :scream.

One of:
29. Dayne Beams
30. Daniel Hannebery
34. Liam Shiels
37. Zac Clarke
39. Steven Motlop

Plus one of:
44. Rory Sloane
49. Taylor Hunt
53. Michael Walters

Mind you, given we picked up Postie at 26 then we probably would've struck out anyway back then even with two extra mid-range picks  :-\.

Bombers only won last night because the Dogs have no decent tall forwards to kick to. Let them think they are better than they really are and finish 9th.

If Freo knock off the Eagles today then I can't see the top 8 changing from here on - Haw, Port, Geel, Coll, Syd, North, Suns & Freo (not specifically in that order). Every other team outside of the Eight is rubbish and would get flogged in an Elim Final even if they somehow snuck in.

Which in itself was a disgrace to our club.

North got it back to 11 pts but the Suns have kicked the last two. Up 71 - 50.

The biggest mistake was Schulzy's treatment and development over his whole career, not the pick 28 rubbish. And by the way, that was during the 2007 trade period. 2008 Port & the Dogs were sniffing but Sarge had signed with us for two more years and a move was never really on the cards. You'd take the Coleman medal leader over pick 28, especially when it's Richmond's recruiters...

You're right it was 2007. The Jordan McMahon for pick 19 and Mitch Morton for pick 35 one  :P.

My point still stands even for that draft. We could have finished that draft with:

2. Cotchin
18. Rance
19. Scott Selwood who FJ wanted (Callum Ward went here)
28 & 35 ..... any two of Brendan Whitecross/Scott Thompson/Chris Mayne/Jack Steven/Cale Hooker/Shane Mumford

Lock the top 8 in for mine. I would love North to drop out (and us in) but I just don't see those sides including us outside of the Eight being consistently good enough to do it.

West Perth defeat Box Hill in the Foxtel Cup....been saying it for the last few years - really hope the club has a good look at Shane Nelson in the off-season.
