Going alone nicely.

I'm loving the manic pressure especially the young guys.
George, Butler, Rioli, Short and Markov last night have made footy enjoyable to watch.

Overated.
Betts will maul him.
Betts is the one anybody needs to judge him or any smallish defender against.
Betts and Cameron will gave a field day.
Sorry but that's a bit over the top.

You are going to judge a young guy on his performance on one of the best small forwards of the last decade who plays in a strong team that gives him constant supply?

Give me a break.

This is all ignoring the fact Grimes will most likely have first crack. Maybe even Rance (like last year)

Just hope it isn't Steve Morris again, last time Betts pantsed him

Like this kid, is a nice kick and looks very comfortable with ball in hand. Doesn't panic like some of his compatriots...

What do you think his role is?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Short is 3rd best in the AFL for metres per disposal.

Metres per disposal

29.2: Nathan Wilson (GWS)
26.4: Lance Franklin (Syd)

Jayden is another lesser like in decent form. Thought he became more and more important as the game went along tonight. Finding a rookie pick who kicks at 90% efficiency is a good get. The goal was bonus.

Spot on. Great to see we can draft someone as a rookie and they can go out and play a role within our system. What we've been missing from our lower round picks and rookies. His foot skills are a real asset obviously but I reckon he's getting better defensively every week as well.

If he keeps working on his defensive skills will develop into a very good player. His release from the backline, kicking and pace are already very good. Awareness in traffic has improved a lot. Well done to the kid

Was excellent fir the most part though the options he chose on some of the kick-ins were questionable to say the least....
