I wouldn’t ignore the trade offers for Bolton. I think he’s a pretty good player but he’s expendable. He’s the cream on the cake kind of player and as a list we might have no cake in a few years. If the offers are right I wouldn’t ignore them.

I still feel this way. I think he will be wasted here and he is capable of rebuilding our draft position

He's also arrogant, petulant and selfish.

Your reflections are bang on too.

If the Eagles finish bottom and you can get pick 1 you'd take it.

Do you think he’s a Richmond player ? Yes when he’s on he is good but he gives away dumb free kicks and 50’s and when the going gets tough he isn’t usually there imo. His kicking has been really poor this year and last as well. He has an arrogance. He’s the perfect player to have when you’re a good team which we are evidently not and the way our list is shaping we arent going to get any better any time soon

Most frustrating bloke running around for at the moment

Just not imposing himself enough

I want to give him some leeway because recently being a dad. Like man I’m definitely a shadow of my best with 2x kids under 4x. But then I see Jeremy Cameron tear it up and I’m thinking surely Bolton can go up a gear

Not fit enough like the rest of our list except for the two newbies that seem fitter than the rest of the team.

He will hit top fitness by round 15

Every week Dimma and Co. seem to move the magnets on the board a lot. Very much robbing Peter to pay Paul. Bolton is an electric forward who can kick 3 quick goals and turn a game in a flash. He seems to be spending a lot more time up the ground and perhaps he’s struggling like so many others in the congestion. He’s not an extractor.

We do the same with Baker, Short, Mansell, Balta etc… I know football is football but guys need some time to own a role and Dimma needs to play these guys to let their strengths shine through. The team will benefit from that.

I actually feel it’s the other way. He’s a better outside midfielder and rover than a small forward. When he doesn’t get early touches I feel his confidence goes down and then gets caught in no man’s land. I feel everytime he starts in the middle he more often or not gets the clearance

Needs to put away the showman and just concentrate on what he’s doing
