Smith is okay but Warner is not? I think Smith should never play cricket again, just like I don’t think Hird should ever coach again :shh

I see Cummins asked CA to can an energy retailer from being a sponsor. Good on him, but how does he get around? Plane, cars no he must walk everywhere.

They make me laugh these left wing flogs. At least Greta practices what she preaches (I think)

Again, I don't necessarily disagree. Re: Hird, undocumented injections of players under your care is even worse than pure cheating. That's cheating and endangering others while you go about cheating. How he is still in the game I'll never know.

With Smith--just my vantage point at the time--I saw genuine remorse and shame in his press conference and afterwards as it sunk in what he had allowed to happen. Warner never seemed to give a stuff. Maybe I'm being ahistorical, but I thought he had no part in the planning as well and just let it happen under his watch. When he realized what he had acquiesced too he seemed devastated for more than just himself and he took a beating.

So I felt there was a way back for him. Not that it included captaining the side again or being VC, but a way to play again. Certainly not automatic, but a way back. Warner I never felt that way about. I could have misremembered the facts of the case but there we go.

As much it went Victoria's way, this is one hell of a LBW call by the ump.

It didn't look like the ball was going to go on and hit the stumps. Feels like the ump gave it out because he thought the batsman deserved to go for deliberately not even attempting to play a shot when he could have.

Big call that but without a shot offered I'm happy to give the bowler benefit there. Wickets = good cricket

Old school but this compilation video is pretty impressive. Shows how much Ponting was just a freak at run outs.

We'll be chasing over 200 the way the Kiwis' top order has started. Already 1/97 after just 10 overs :help.

NZ 3/200 off their 20 overs.

Conway 92* (58), Allen 42 (16), Neesham 26* (13), Williamson 23 (23).

Hazlewood 2/41, Zampa 1/39, Starc 0/36, Cummins 0/46, Stoinis 0/38.

Good idea to bowl first :P.

Aussies 111 all out.

Worst loss in terms of runs in T20.

SL 6/157 off their 20 overs.

Once again we won the toss and put the opposition in. Obviously, Finch and the Aussie 'brains trust' think there's some benefit in bowling first. I'm just trying to figure out what it is when we aren't taking early wickets and then concede 31 runs off the last two overs :huh3.

Aussies won by 7 wickets. 3/158 off 16.3 overs.

Stoinis saved the day with 59 not out off just 18 balls including 6 sixes. A lazy strike rate of 327 :o. The last 51 runs for us came off just two and a half overs!

If Friday night is washed out then we could be virtually handed a semi-final spot :o.
