Aussies pass 250 with just 4 wickets down. Lead beyond 330 runs. Head on 136* after the Poms dropped him. No need to push. Just keep on batting.

Brilliant by Head and Carey.

Stokes not bowling.
Archer looks like he can't go the distance again and again.

Need to give them at least 4 sessions to bowl then out IMO. Once the lead is 500+ we should be good if we can get it that high.

More disappointing failures from Labuschagne and Green. I'd swap them straight out for Smith and Webster.

It’s a tough gig carrying Nathan Lyon 🤣🤣🤣

I stand corrected at this point in time

I've just seen 3 wickets from Lyon and am loving my humble pie.

He's just sealed the series.

Aussies 2nd inns  349 ..... Head 170, Carey 72

Eng  6/207 ..... Cummins and Lyon with 3 wickets each.

Eng need 228 runs and Aussies obviously 4 more wickets on the last day.

Done a hammy
And now we can see how much he’s missed
Travis Head isn’t the option

He can't stay on the park anymore.
Same as Hazelwood.

It's a shame. We'll need to find a new spinner. At least he made it count but he won't be seen again this series/maybe ever.

Alex Carey was named man of the match.

Starc with 3 wickets today and Boland the last one.

Lyon (hammy) likely to replaced by one of Murphy (Vic), Kuhnemann (Tas) or Rocchiccioli (WA) for the Boxing Day Test.

Todd Murphy should be the 1st option.

He's young and showed enough in his couple of tests

Cameron Green has to be dropped. Can't keep carrying him based on "potential"

Agree on both points.

Same as Inglis.

My dad was saying Cummins wasn't bowling/was hurt - anyone see this? I didn't tune in for the last 45min or so.

Out: Lyon, Inglis, Green.

In: Murphy, Smith, Webster.

If Cummins doesn't play and Hazelwood isn't fit then I guess they'll have to play a guy like Nesser.

Australian captain Pat Cummins said he is unlikely to play in the Boxing Day Test.

“Now that the series has been won, there might be a sense of job’s done and let’s kind of reassess the risk.

“We’ll work it out over the next couple of days.

“I doubt I’ll be playing Melbourne and then we’ll have a chat about Sydney.

“Certainly before the series, it was while the series is alive lets take on the risk and have a crack at it.

“Now that’s it done, I think we’ll need to have a chat about it.”

You had Khawaja retired days ago
Now we are dumping Green

If Green gets dropped it would be a terrible decision .. put him at 6 where he belongs

Still think Khawaja should retire

He was very lucky to play this test

As for Green, how many more chance do you give him?

His dismissals yhis series have either been embarrassing (leaving his stumps exposed) or soft

Bat him at 6 and dishes up what he's done so far this series then what?

Pin your hopes on him taking a few wickets?

Ussie is 39 but performed better than plenty, such as Marn-arse, Green, Inglis etc. With two dead rubbers coming up do you think we should prioritise him?

As for Green, sheesh mate take your goggles off, he's been superbly ordinary. Play Webster.
