Wallis & Billings cheap I could live with...big pass on Lapinksi & Narkle....Hopper sounds like pipe dream(he's from NSW for a start) and can't see how we get Green next year if we're trading future high picks (he will get here eventually though)...can't see Cerra happening and don't want him now anyway unless Green or Hopper were coming too.... :shh

I would be keen on lipinski , young with great skills, l would be disappointed if Coleman Jones and Chol both went, especially Coleman Jones

Lipinski is slow as treacle..another Danny Meyer or a Tom Hislop with better skills ...but Sam Mitchell or Diesel he ain't... :shh

Not one of those names excited me that a realistic. No to Billings to.Dream on club will loose Chol and CCJ  if that's the case stupidity.

Billings would be a massive upgrade on either of the Aarse/Cantkickit comedy duo....can play in midfield as well...was generally considered to be St.Kilda's best young player not that long ago and is still young enough to recapture that form...as they say in the classics- form is temporary, talent is permanent.... :shh

Billings likely to sign on with St Kilda.

Yeah probably...not that fussed about it tbh...just prefer him to most of the other names mentioned if they're the options we're looking at...as I've said a few times, never rated the source of the info..... :shh

From the Herald-Sun:

ADAM Cerra is set to play his last game at Fremantle this weekend, with the pull of family to be his reason for moving back to Melbourne.

Cerra and partner Claudia, who is this year finishing a four-year degree, have barely seen their families through Covid and are understood to be keen to return home.

Claudia can continue further study over in Perth but despite his love of the club and the future it is building it is likely his best chance to get back to Melbourne.

Many players in Cerra’s position were able to catch up with family and friends in previous years when they flew in for Melbourne games but this year players have mostly been quarantined and borders have been shut to relatives.

There is no doubt he has enjoyed Justin Longmuir’s coaching style in preference to Ross Lyon’s more extroverted manner.

But the Herald Sun understands it would not be an impediment to him landing at Carlton next year if Lyon was the coach of the Blues.

Carlton would automatically slot in a mature midfielder with exceptional kicking skills but the Blues would again have to give away their top-10 pick.

They would attempt to split it to hand the Dockers a later first-rounder but securing a 21-year-old with 76 games under his belt and huge upside would mean Fremantle would play hard ball.

Much prefer him to come to us than Carlton.

The rumour before the season was Paddy Dow would join his brother at Richmond for a Future Pick.

Sam Edmund is linking us to Talia.

Daniel Talia (Adelaide)

“Daniel Talia is going to be a really interesting watch, I don’t know if Richmond is across the line by any stretch of the imagination yet.

“Essendon might’ve been sounded at as well as to whether they’ve got an interest.

“He’s certainly good enough to go around again, but you’d have to be in the window (in premiership contention).

"Richmond tick that box, Essendon is playing finals this year and they’ve got Patrick Ambrose retired, Michael Hurley no guarantees, Cale Hooker is gone … so could he fit at Essendon.”

Patrick Lipinski (Western Bulldogs)

“Pat Lipinski will leave the Dogs, but at the moment it’s hard to find a home for him right now and a lot of clubs are unsure.

“He’s too good for the VFL, but is he good enough for the AFL? Does he sit in that awkward sweet spot if you like, he uses it well but does he have the leg speed?

“That’s the other thing right now, speed is everything, every list manager you speak to, no one wants a player who doesn’t have speed, who can’t cover the ground, speed is an absolute priority right now and if you don’t have it, it’s hard to find a suitor for them.”

Mitch Wallis (Western Bulldogs)

“Mitch Wallis has been frozen out of the Dogs and we know that.

“I’m hearing it actually might’ve really strained some relationships there at Whitten Oval between player and coach when it comes to Mitch Wallis, who is the vice-captain, who has been completely shut out of the Dogs this year.”

Jack Gunston (Hawthorn)

“Lots of smoke around Jack Gunston, he’s very much an Alastair Clarkson man and a lot of clubs … they have definitely come calling for Jack Gunston to see if they can use what’s happened at Hawthorn as leverage to get him out,” Edmund said on SEN’s Whateley.

“He is contracted but that back injury has definitely scared a few clubs off, that’s not something you want to muck around with, especially for someone who’s well paid like Jack Gunston, that has certainly scared a few off.

“But I reckon it’s a watch this space going forward for sure.”
