Reckon GWS might be into CCJ after tonight...straight swap for Tom Green.... :shh

It's an indictment on that club that Mumford is still their best/only genuine ruck option.

Adelaide's Matt Crouch has been wiped off the list of available restricted free agents after committing to a new two-year deal to remain with the Crows.

Sam Edmund has outlined the current trade and free agency scenario at Hawthorn, saying the club wants to keep both Jack Gunston and Tom Mitchell, but were “more inclined” to let the latter explore his options.

North Melbourne is facing delicate negotiations with two of its star veterans as it plots another off-season of change. Captain Jack Ziebell and Robbie Tarrant remain out of contract as unrestricted free agents.

Shaun Atley and Tom Campbell have been told to wait on any new contracts, while Trent Dumont is in the shop window as an unrestricted free agent.

Took Brisbane by surprise. They haven't even spoken to Neale.

Neale and his wife are wanting to start and raise a family in WA.

From Foxsports:

RICHMOND

The Tigers are a fascinating case study. They don’t necessarily need to add much, they just need to figure out who they’re willing to let go. One of Mabior Chol or Callum Coleman-Jones will likely not be there next year, while they’ve already made a tough call on Bachar Houli. With Trent Cotchin not at the level we’ve come to expect, the midfield could do with a boost. Patrick Lipinski is looking for more opportunity and could add to the next wave of midfield talent coming through at Tigerland. The biggest weapon the Tigers have coming into this off-season is their draft hand: Picks 7, 16, 26 and 28 give them plenty of scope at the trade table, but also a great chance to regenerate via the draft. Richmond’s decision to decision to pull out of the race for Adam Cerra is further evidence the club is primarily focused on the draft.

Gold Coast

Gold Coast would consider Rory Lobb if he was willing to accept a pay cut. But the Suns might try to avoid using Pick 3 on a player like Lobb. If a play for Lobb doesn’t eventuate, Gold Coast could also look at off-contract Tiger Callum Coleman-Jones.

GWS

With Shane Mumford likely to retire, they’d be hoping 2020 recruit Braydon Preuss can fill his shoes. But could they find someone to help both in the ruck and up forward? One of Richmond duo Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol, or perhaps Collingwood’s Max Lynch, could work.

WESTERN BULLDOGS

The Dogs’ first priority is making sure they’re all set points-wise to take father-son prospect Sam Darcy, who has launched himself into top three contention in this year’s pool. As a result, they’re very unlikely to be trading any significant picks out. Likely to help them in the picks (and therefore points) department is the looming departures of Patrick Lipinski and Mitch Wallis.

The wildcard in play is Cerra: While Melbourne has emerged as a potential suitor, the Dockers will now be hoping to get a deal done with Carlton, which has pick No.6 as its first selection as opposed to Melbourne’s pick No.34.

Future picks in a deal with Carlton are far more preferable than those from Melbourne, too, given the Dees are all-but-certain to finish higher on the ladder than the Blues in 2022.

Get pick No.6 from the Blues and the Dockers all of a sudden have more than enough capital to get a deal done to bring Neale back to the club.

Picks 6 and 8 for Neale and the Lions’ pick No.14 looms as a suitable trade for all parties, offsetting the idea of giving up two first-rounders by getting a later one back the other way.

If Brisbane gets pick 6 it would be bad news.  Their recruiting philosophy is to take Vic Country boys so all of Hobbs, Rachell or Gibcus are potential targets which cuts the options for us.  Freo would have likely taken Erasmus
