Give him a month. Decision making most definitely the problem.
he's also short, terrible in the air and not particularly great at the hard stuff.

Can improve upon all of that but he'd wanna do it in the next 12 months

Thankfully he's below 200cm though, wouldn't want to surpass the 'too tall to be a useful key position' limit :lol

He looks plenty shorter than what he is billed at. Some of his efforts on Friday were shocking.

Personally, I’d rather play Judson or Trezise in this spot. They look more capable of making it to me.

I'm still backing him too and think he needs to keep going in the 1sts personally.

Time to move on from Short as far as the backline is concerned. No point going backwards.

I was backing him up until his last 4 games in the AFL, have watched him closely and just can't see it myself. Poor decision making, average disposal..

He is one of those players I call "betwixt and bewteen", too good for VFL but not quite there for AFL level

Oh yeah we've had plenty of those in the last few years haha.

You may be right but at a mere 20 years old and 1.5 years into his career I'm prepared to give him longer.

Look at Ross and Dow lol. MRJ even...

His first  season and a bit basically ruined as well with injury.

Just think he has good traits for the modern game and he did show plenty a junior when at east fremantle.
Lots of things that was a strength at E/F just have not translated into strengths at Richmond. Just think he is one it will take a bit of time to happen.
