WE MUST TRADE DELEDIO!
« on: May 07, 2007, 08:02:45 AM »
NOW  dont get all peed off but deledio does not have what it takes to be a true afl star and is actually not that good.

i dont care how fast he can run and how many torps he can kick, deledio is softer than tivendale and has no idea how to use the one skill he has ..pace.

cameron ling is not quick and he showed us why deledio is teh most overrated kid in afl and has no balls.

dekedio is just a receiver, and a bad one cos any good receiver uses his pace to break lines.

deledio is a fraud and he came to us with a masive reputation which was protected by terry by playing him in easy roles.

we must trade deledio , ppl who say he should be captain , what a load of crap, he is no leader , he is just a gay show pony who has no desire to get his hands dirty.

if terry had any balls , deledio should be dropped asap.

deledio has been nothing but a joke in the past 12 months

if deledio had 5% the desire that foleyu has, then maybe he could become a player.

foley and tambling are our midfield future, deledio should be used to trade for judd!

I have faith in the kid but you have to ask why any club would pick a half back flanker as a No 1 National Draft Pick.

i dont have faith in him, he has gone backwards in 2 yrs not fwd.

the question should never have been why tambling over buddy

it should have been why not buddy over deledio

we should trade deledio to wce, and tray and get judd , either as a trade on teh the draft as we will finish last.

i said maybe give foley the captaincy in another thread

i say lets get judd here , make him captain asap b4 the pies do!

great question, why did we waste our 1st draft pick on breet "bannick" deledio on an outside hbf and not a kpp.  its about time we all got realistic and ask why did we let buddy go through! we desparately need tall matchwinners. and buddy can play as an outside runner too and has more to his bow than deledio

I still have faith too as it's harder to play with natural flair in a crap side but Lids major weakness at the moment is his lack of defensive pressure. If he doesn't work and improve on this then yes he will only become a flanker or wingman. Just 7 tackles from 6 games in an ordinary effort.

Mind you the following tackling stats for those who have played every game so far this year says alot about the team's lack of defensive pressure.

Foley      27
Tuck      23
Newman  21
Tambo    20
Hyde      20
McGuane 17
Sugar     14
Raines    12
Polak      10
Pettifer    8
Joel         8
Lids         7
Schulz     6
Richo       2

NO  deadly serious

deledio is a fraud, he has laid only 6 or 7 tackles this yr,

soft

for a kid who is meant to be faster than judd he sure does not liek to get his hands dirty and do teh team thing , chase and tackle hard

i questioned his work rate 2 yrs ago and again last yr, and everyone laughed at me and said i was crazy

the kid plays scared, he always will, he is a downhill skiir and we dont need players like him.

trade him while other think he still has something.

we want workman, warriors not fleet footed fairies

ling is no speed freak, but he outran, outmuscled and out smarted this kyabram tool. lids was too scared to a/ play man on man on him, and b/ use his pace to beat him

wells showed his class last week by flogging ling with his classs and pace

deledio is a protected fraud

Look X, your logic is completely off the rails.

In one breath your calling Deledio a fraud.

And in the other your telling us he should be traded for Chris Judd from the West Coast Eagles.

If Deledio is such a fraud then the above deal has utterly no chance of ever being contemplated by the necessary parties let alone administered.

The fact that you could even position Deledio as a player of comparitable magnitude in a trading circumstance judd defies logic. What does that make Judd? Aaron Fiora?

lids is not physically or mentally tough enough to play this game

maybe i am th eonly one who can see it , maybe i see him as a fraud and imo he is, he has shown no improvement.

other teams still think he has teh goods, well lets make profit out of him and get either a top line player or draft picks

stop using ur heart and use ur head, he cant tackle, he dosnt chase he is not a team player but a downhill skier

they club wont have teh balls to trade him and thats our problem we hold on to players believing they have potential

well hello

As John Elliot would say..."Pigs Ar$e!!" Deledio has plenty of courage and a rising star award in his first season to prove it. The team as a whole is well off the pace at the moment.
If we traded him, he would be a star at any other club. Look at Rodan for cliff's sake. The problem is not Deledio, its remnants of the Frawley era still festering in our Tiger bellies and last night was an exorcism of epic proportions or at least the cheese squeeze of the century cleansing our souls of the green potato going to seed that was one Danny Frawley.
Now we can wipe the sweat of our brow, pull the stick out of our mouth, release the restraints and look forward to watching some of our young guns have a crack without worrying about the scoreboard. :thumbsup :thumbsup

I have exorcised the demons  :chuck.....This footbal club is clear.

deledio is not a star
and if he keeps playing as he does he never will be

i hope he does become the best , but i doubt he will , why

he is scared, he playes scared, 9/10 when he can take players on he dosnt, judd never hesitates, lids does.  soft.

when he starts believing in himself and back himsel;f, he may then start becoming a good player, but he lacks toughness and faith in himself.

he is too used to getting things easy and being everyones pet.

eg/ he never deserved to win the preseason points scoring thing, that was foley and terry gave it to lids cos a/ he is his pet, and b, it would be embarrassing to all if an ex rookie beat a blue chip no1 draft pick!
