Did Cotchin have his right knee bandaged in the second half?  He looked slow on the idiot box?

Yes, knee was bandaged
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Either we're having an unlucky streak or Burge has pushed them too hard on the track coming into the season proper.  A lot of soft tissue injuries to go along with the breaks and concussions.

Trent Cotchin will never be considered a great player or captain until he starts kicking set-shot goals from straight in front of the sticks. He has missed these through his whole career and shows no signs of improving this part of his game.

#2 contested possession.

Round 2
Yes was toughest on the ground with those stats, but he just needs to start hurting sides with his possession.... Then we will stop complaining, getting clearances and turning them over or slowing the game down isn't helping us at the moment, this could be because that is what he has been told to do by the coaches i'm not sure because im not inside "the 4 walls". But just start taking the game on instead of playing safety Cotch.

Merely trying to steer the more emotional amongst us in the middle ground

Cut the poo.

Cotchin and Cotchin alone is responsible for his present dudness and his future improvements.

I don't buy Cotchin can "do more leadership" :

 - If hunt can't catch
 - If Hampson is too stupid to stand on the line
 - If vlastuin decides to handball to the boundary

In regard your point id say he could have been managed better he last since he was drafted. Demented to play a valuable asset with injuries. Only at tigerland

It's a (great) shame he's playing below his ability. At least he still cracks in, as proven via stats

Cotchin needs to go as a run with player in my opinion.

Play like Cameron Ling or Jack Viney game style. Get ugly. Still can be great player. He can't kick over a jam tin, not much pace, can't kick goals. 2 games we've seen Pendles, Treloar, Murphy have it on a string. When Cotchin gets 38 possies we don't dominate. Sick of hearing he needs to impact games with possessions. He'll always have a good footy brain, makes good decisions, in general. Think a defensive contested mid would be where he could really impact games again. High possessions, don't go anything anymore with Trent, in the forward line he misses goals.
Go Tigers!

Where was the leadership when Vickery took the grab?
Shouldnt the captain run to the problematic player and ensure he has the shot by telling him to settle and run the clock down?
If not the captain, anyone wih leadership ??

Good point, we should appoint someone on field who is there to provide advice to AFL footballers whenever they take possession.

I nominate Hampson as he does nothing else anyway.

Although you make a valid point, surely Vickery is a senior enough player to understand the situation and come to that conclusion himself?

clearly that is not the case....

Talking on the field is such an important aspect, and telling a player to settle who may having an adrenalin rush is part of that
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
