I was kind of hoping the news would be the opposite. When are we going to start to attaract sponsors rather than lose them?! :banghead

I was hoping it was sign they are upgrading to become a major sponsor.

Hope that we're on the verge of some mega deal like Essendon, which does the front and back of the guernsey as well as the shorts

Seriously though  Lite 'N' Easy & KooGa would be our to biggest sponsors at the moment seeing we don't have a major(s)

I will confess to getting a bit frustrated on the lack of news on this particular front.... it's been 4 months now...

Other thing I noticed regarding the sponsors page is that Dick Smith has disappeared all together. Didn't the Club say that DS was staying on as a sponsor but at a lower level? So shouldnt' they still be there?

Unless of course a possible major is in direct competition with them  :pray :pray

Finally sook on this topic for today  ;D.... don't the KooGa polos that Dusty & Astbury are wearing on the RFC website look great  :nope :nope :nope

let's hope they are only temporary until we get some sponsors

The 'unisex' members jacket doesn't look crash hot either  :P.

WP. it's repeated in the Fighting Tiger that arrived today that both Dick Smith and Luxbet will be "shifting their marketing focus from co-major partners, but will continue with the Club in 2011." So yep it is a bit strange they've been removed from the RFC website unless plans have changed recently since the FT was sent to the printers  :-\.

Great if true and it's worth big $$$   ;D

But it would mean we lose DS completely as there are competitors so anything we lose from DS would need to be covered by either JB & someone else

It just want some action on this front

Define "tech" Danog.  If it's IT then you can do much much better.

According to KiwiTiger on BF:

Process is being worked through for new major sponsors. New media sleeve sponsor is in. Dick Smith still involved with the foundation and the Central Aust. program.

Lite'n'Easy still involved as coach sponsor and media polo. Brisbane based packaging company also signed on as media polo sleeve sponsor.

Major sponsor process being worked through. These things take time with negotiation, value proposition, bonus clauses, image rights, AFL vetting and approval. Luxbet took ages due to AFL vetting, gaming regulation, and details re absence of signage on Little League jumpers etc to protect the image. So it is a process that is involved. Apologies I can't be more detailed.

Another poster 'Reiwoldt_Groupie' claims "We've signed at least 1 new major sponsor but haven't revealed it yet."

I hear Skoda are going to be GWS' sponsor. Hmmm the AFL looking after its new baby even though GWS' sponsor conflicts with the AFL's major sponsor Toyota.

Yeah it does but seeing they allow Ford & Mazda they don't have much choice I wouldn't have thought  ;D

Also as the major sponsor Toyota has a say .... so if they are OK with it it's not an issue
