TERRY Wallace will coach Richmond until at least mid-year.
The embattled coach survived a board meeting in the city last night, where the club reiterated its process to review the coach would continue as planned.
Wallace, who is under daily scrutiny from media and fans, will officially know of his future about Round 12.
Unofficially, at 0-4, Wallace knows his future almost certainly finished at Punt Rd.
Wallace was not at last night's meeting, nor did he present any submission.
But a decision was expected on whether Wallace would be sacked and replaced by one of his assistants, namely David King or Wayne Campbell, or that he would continue.
At last night's meeting, Craig Cameron, the head of football, strongly recommended - and was supported - that the process of reviewing the football department, which includes Wallace and which began last July, would continue until its completion, which is mid-year.
Chief executive Steven Wright also presented at the board meeting, which went for two and half hours.
Richmond president Gary March last night was emphatic the scrutiny on Wallace and the Tigers would not force the club's hand.
``We will not buckle to outside pressures in regards to the process which we put in last July,'' March said.
``The coaching review was to be made mid-season and a decision will be made as to what direction the club takes.
``The current situation is nothing has changed.
``Terry is coaching. He is contracted to coach.
``And the review is not just the coaching, it's the whole footy department. It's a work in progress.''
March spoke to Wallace before and after the meeting and told the Herald Sun last night Wallace was aware of the club's decision before the meeting.
Asked the tone of the meeting, March said: ``I'm not going to comment on internal meetings. All I will say is I have been incredibly proud internally from Craig Cameron, Steve Wright and to the board of how solid they've been in seeing through the process we've got in place.''
March said he ``felt'' Wallace and his family.
``I speak to him daily ... I feel for him,'' March said.
``You don't want to see anyone go through the personal scrutiny that Terry is going through.
``The Richmond Football Club is rallying around Terry and his family whenever we can.
``But we're all big boys, we know we have to deal with that, both Terry and myself.
March, who yesterday put the blow torch to the players, describing them as mentally weak, said last night's meeting was not shifted from Punt Rd to avoid another media circus.
``We have four or five board meetings away from Punt Rd each year, there was no cloak and dagger, it was scheduled two weeks ago to be at this location.''
Wallace said earlier he had not been asked to attend last night's board meeting.
But he said he planned to speak to Tigers' head of football Craig Cameron for a report on proceedings.
Wallace, who gave a major football presentation at the club's March board meeting, said Cameron regularly gave him feedback after presenting to the board.
``I don't normally go to the board meetings so I am more than comfortable with that being the situation,'' he said
``We just finished match committee for the evening, so just another day at the office
