Out: Thursty, Farmer, Morton, Nason, Taylor
In: Maric, Morris

So we're now down to the required 35 player (on senior list) cut off needed for the first list lodgement on Oct 31. It gives us 3 ND picks - 15, 26 & 55. We would need to offload another if we plan to promote Miller  :P and use two picks in the ND and a PSD pick.

I dont think the plan is to promote Miller MT.

Thank god for that Magic. Given our vet list isn't full we can always promote a rookie at any time so there's no reason to promote Miller.

I truly am surprized that Gourdis has not been axed as yet. Given he has played only a handful of games but been in the squad for years plus we appear to finally have some depth in the tall defender stocks - why is he still around???

It's why some question the Club's (Cameron) ability to judge players. Goo was never going to make it yet he's been on list since the 2007 PSD :P.

There are other key defenders I'd give the flick to ahead of Goo. McGoofy springs to mind. At least he's been given many tries by the club to prove himself, and shown time and time again that he's utterly useless. Goo is bigger, stronger and quicker, and all the supposed knocks on his kicking are non-existent from what I've seen of him at Coburg. He plays one average game in the seniors and we never see him again all year. WTF is up with that? :huh

during the year when lost tall backmen to long term injuries hardwick was asked about replacements. the first time listed all options except goo.

the second time when he ran through the names he actually said gourdis, then said ah, not gourdis.

supossedly he was the only player to get a negative wrap at some club80 thingy ma bob before the start of the season?

That's correct. Dimma and Leppa were certainly not be wraps on him after the preseason from where I sat  ;)

Well that makes sense then. What doesn't make sense though is why he was given that length of contract after not earning it.  :scream

I think they may have to give elevated rookies 2 year deals like first time draftees  :-\

Every one of our rookies who have been promoted to the primary list have been given 2 year
deals

I would think that if we can afford it (ie salary cap room if you cut a contracted player) then in some cases you are better to cut your losses and de-list.
