Trade Week Day 2

Carlton is looking to offload either Setanta O'hAilpin or Paul Bower during the trade period in order to ensure that it complies with the rules that say clubs must have three draft selections.

Geelong says Tom Gillies is a required player and has not considered a request to trade the defender to Hawthorn, which is unable to offer the Cats their first-round draft pick for Gillies. The Hawks have already slated their first pick, no 24, as the selection they wish to use for Jack Gunston, the Adelaide forward who has requested a trade to the Hawks.

Port Adelaide is using a third club to seal a "come-home" trade for West Coast midfielder Brad Ebert. Ebert's return to Alberton could be achieved by tomorrow afternoon. The Power insists it will not meet West Coast's wish for Port's priority draft pick No. 28. Nor is the Power's first draft pick (No. 6) to be traded. Rather, Port is hopeful of engineering a player from a rival AFL club moving to West Coast, the Eagles releasing Ebert and the Power completing the three-way loop with a draft pick - possibly its No. 33 call in next month's national draft.

The Power today will also move on from contracted Fremantle ruckman Jon Griffin by medically testing and interviewing ruckmen who can move to Alberton in uncomplicated trades before Monday's deadline. This will certainly include Hawthorn premiership ruckman Brent Renouf and possibly Sydney and former West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby.

Port has not tested the supposed interest in the market for midfielder Steven Salopek and key defender Troy Chaplin.

DeepThroat now has a new multi-club trade spiel ...

Pick 15 and DJ for Tom Gillies and pick 26 or pick 40 odd( geel) geel may on trade DJ.
That's so in favour of Geelong it's not funny.

Quote
Luke macgaune and pick 55 for pick 33?? ( bris lions pick)
If only the Lions were that keen.

Quote
Pick 33 or 37 plus Connors for Ivan Maric & Tony Armstrong
Tony Armstrong will be traded to Sydney for a pick 40 odd.
Practically saying a swap of Connors for Maric.

Quote
Or
Pick 37 plus connors for Ivan Maric and a Pick that will be finalized at end of trading.
A possibility.

Quote
Or
Pick 15 to Hawks, hawks use pick 15 to on trade to crows for Gunston

We get Ivan and pick 24

We lose pick 15 & 55 and gain 24 and maric

Crows lose maric and Gunston and gain pick 15 and 55

We trade 24 for Tom gillies straight swap.
So we wouldn't have a selection until pick 37 in weakened draft so to get two fringe players in Gillies (8 games in 3 years) and Maric  ::).

Maybe there's still a chance to get a decent 'fish'.

most of you cant see we are going around in circles.
As has been evident in recent times with the recruiting of guys like Farmer, Taylor , Roberts etc
These are all recent recruits,  :banghead :banghead :banghead
Sorry, but I am with Flags on this :gotigers

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol I was waiting for you to chime in, once again it proves you only ever post when there's a chance to bash the club :wallywink

I will put the same question to you and I bet you wont answer either....
Who should the club be targeting this trade period and what should we be offering for them??

C'mon smart behind......

Would of offered North Melbourne either Edwards/Foley/Griffiths for Hamish McIntosh. Maybe even 2 of them
POINTLESS offerring rubbish players.

Would of all tried to get Jarrod Waite for say a Griffiths.and a pick

SO Jack,

what your recommendation is to trade Griffiths a 20 yr old KP player and a draft pick for a 27 yr old ruckman on 650k who has played 1 game in 18months and has two achilles reconstructions?

or for Waite, a 29 yr old utility. You have no idea

Absolutely unreal.

Thank god you got the arse from the richmond football club, absolutely ridiculous

Just a question for all you gurus and unsure if it has been mentioned, Lovett Murray, (the one who didn't play a game for St Kilda) is he worth a punt?? Unsure if Nathan or Andrew, any upside??

Collingwood midfielder John McCarthy is considering offers from a number of rival clubs.

Western Bulldogs forward Josh Hill could be an Eagle by the end of the week.

I have updated the offical trades thread, we have trade #3.

ADELAIDE forward Jack Gunston has been traded to Hawthorn.

In a deal completed on Wednesday, Adelaide traded Gunston along with it's third round National Draft pick (53), it's fourth round pick (71) to the Hawks for their round one selection (24), round two selection (46) and round three selection (64)
