As I have just spent some time reading up the forums, this topic was raised by Ian on another forum (I acknowledge him as the source of this topic) and In my opinion he was absolutely spot on 100%. Why is the new social club on level 3. Why isnt it down on ground level? This facility should have been put on ground level on the MCG side as the patrons walk up to the G. If they had put this facility where it needed to go the club would have made a fortune every weekend from all the other clubs supporters getting beers and buying food and drinks on the way to the ground or from the ground. Sticking it on level 3 is ridiculous.

Better view of the city and MCG?
-
I'm guessing you would need to check planning regulations if it was possible if the first place.
The Tiger Den is on the ground floor at the Brunton Ave end of the new building btw.
-
Being a licenced social club in the MCG precinct I would imagine there are many regulations that apply - especially in the area of liquor and food sales. Selling liquor to non-members would be one area I would expect there to be no room to move and I can imagine that the AFL/MCC have food/drink licences around the ground all sewn up. With the club charging a premium for social club membership and little/no legal possibility of 'passing' sales, it would make sense to take advantage of the outlook from the 3rd floor, rather than the more bland ground floor view.

As it should be. :thumbsup

When is the social club available before games this year? I heard somewhere round 3 Hawthorn would be first op.

Yes I believe for Social Club members it will be our first home game
Going by what is on the Flyer for one of the top Coteries (Captain's Club IIRC) the social club is being used round 2 for a pre-match function for them
-
I spoke to the girl at the Tiger Den within the past week and she said in round 3 the Social Club will be open to Social Club members as its our first proper home game. Confirmed as well via club email yesterday. Prior to that there'll be a Social Club function in the Yarra Park Room at the MCG after the St Kilda game in round 2.
Dear MT,
My name is Ashley Aidone and I am thrilled to have been recently appointed the club's Premium Membership Sales Officer. This role is a brand new role for the Club and highlights our commitment to building our premium membership numbers.
We believe our biggest opportunity to continue to build these membership numbers is to differentiate ourselves from other clubs in the service that we provide our members. As a result I will personally be in contact with you every week prior to a Social Club function and am always available to assist you in any way possible.
In Round 3, the ME Bank Centre will host the first Social Club function of 2011, therefore it is imperative that I briefly run through what you can expect over the next few weeks and some of the procedures that Social Club members need to be aware of in 2011.
Social Club memberships have far exceeded our initial projections and as a result, the club will be introducing a 'scan-in' procedure to all Social Club functions much earlier than originally anticipated. Due to various factors, we will be required to monitor the number of members attending not only the Social Club, but other functions throughout the year.
This will ensure that function rooms are not over crowded, so that we can gauge the number of guest passes that can be allocated.
The club has been looking to implement an online RSVP booking program that will be ready for use by Round 3. This program will be used to RSVP to attend the Social Club that weekend and to advise if you require Guest Passes. These will be closely monitored and will result in Guest Passes not being offered for particular matches where high numbers are expected.
Social Club members will be able to RSVP and request Guest Passes in the week leading up to that game. Once you have RSVP'd or been issued with a Guest Pass, your membership card or ticket will be activated with Social Club access for that week. Your membership card will be requested upon entry into the Social Club so that it can be scanned. One entry per membership scanned, will ensure that only members will be able to enter the Social Club.
The full step-by-step procedure will be emailed to you prior to Round 3 against Hawthorn.
As you are all aware, Rounds 1 and 2 are away games and the Social Club will not be open. Once the redevelopment is completed, we will endeavour to open the Social Club after every MCG game, starting Round 3.
The club will however be hosting a post match Social Club function at the Yarra Park Room in the Olympic Stand at the completion of the Round 2 match VS St Kilda.
I will be in touch next week prior to the Round 2 Social Club function, but if you need any queries answered before then, please feel free to contact me directly via telephone on (03) 9426 4442 or via email on aaidone@richmondfc.com.au

I've just re-read this and having been to through the facility I raise a couple of points
Why isn't the social club on the ground level? Outside the Tiger Den & membership being on the ground level, the players facilities are on the ground level, eg new gym, earm up room auditorium .... I reckon they should be on the ground level. Being on level 3 is no big deal it's not like we have to hike stairs - there is 2 lifts ;D
Regarding other supporters being able to use it prior to games. Do we reallly want that? Isn't the Social Club for RFC Social Club & RFC members & their guests first and foremost? Liquor Lincensing will determine how many will be allowed in so I don't think we will able just to open up for everyone
-
Why dont you walk up the stairs its better for your health ;D

not happy with the email sent.
why as a social club member do you have to email/book your intentions in advance if you want to attend the social club.??
The purpose of having a social club is to gain access to facilities.
They shouldnt have ''over sold "" there membership""
Thats what clubs are about.

You will still get in, they just want the ability to limit the number of guest passes given out.
Seems logical enough to me.

I actually agree with you for a change
However I thing NSC is right and they are just doing this to control guest pass numbers each week

Hell i have been a social club member from day one.
Up until last year thefre would be say 20 people at functions before the game.
The problem i see with the social club is they are letting 3121 members in.
I understand they are paying more for there membership but i feel is they want get in they should have a social club membership.

I am a bit confused by that email.
Do they mean social club members need to state their intention to attend and therefore will be issued a 'guest pass' otherwise entry will not be guarenteed. If this is the case, very poor form RFC.
If they have oversold and social club & 3121 memebrs are refused entry at the door there will be some very unhappy campers including myself. ???

reading the email is that YOU wont get in unless you RSVP
-
what if you go to a game and then he decide you might go back for an hour for a drink, as you havent RSVP in advance , you dont get in.
Bit of a mess to me reading the email.
-
just rang club.
all social club members will have to RSVP if you wish to attend.
Then your barcode on your membership ticket will be activated to gain entry.
If not, no entry although you have paid.

That's what I was gunna do and suspected all along - Thanks for that and :banghead
And now you will have people booking just in case and not turning up and you get the drift .........

Got a newsflash for you those memnbers who are now 3121, previously Locker Room & Player Club have always had as part of their memebership access to the Social Club. So this acess has not changed
Pre-match they didn't attend the social club for home games because they have a function room at the MCG or Etihad so they went there. This is going to be the scenario again in as 3121 members have a function room pre-match at the ground with guest speakers so they wont need to go to the Social Club
After games:3121 members (make that ALL coterie members) have always had access to the Social Club and have attended. This will continue in 2011.
Obviously the Social Club membership numbers have increased significantly and I think NSC is right it is more to do with getting the number of guest passes right rather than having oversold
They have a limit on how many people they are allowed to have in the Social Club - they wouldn't have oversold it
just rang club.

Hope you got the name of the person you spoke to Jack as if you ring back in an hour you are likely to get a different answer if it was just the membership department
And did you ask the most obviously question about the email? And that is are they talking about "functions" or general access at every home game? There' a huge difference.
Can tell you I got an email last night re 3121 and it didn't even mention about our access rights to the Social CLub
I tihnk it's time for a deep breath and further invesitgation ;D
-
Thanks for that info WP as I am a 3121 member and was a little confused. :thumbsup

WP. spoke to the girl on the email.
Is a "' newy "' down there

apparently large numbers of members 'do the swap"' and get guests in .
Reason behind the RSVP apparently

SOCIAL CLUB ACCESS
---------------------------------
Dear OE,
Richmond face a hungry St Kilda tomorrow night, a team we haven't been victorious over since 2003.
That makes us even hungrier.
Remember, this is one of our two replacement games and all access members will be granted entry into tomorrow's game, which is all the more reason to cover the stands with Yellow and Black!
The ME Bank Centre which houses our brand new Social Club is still under construction but will be ready for our first home game in Round 3.
Please note that this week's Social Club function for Round 2 will be held in the Yarra Park Room on Level 3 of the Olympic Stand. If you are sitting in our designated reserved seating area in the Ponsford Stand, our Social Club function is on the other side of the ground. If you wish to access the function after the game, please do not leave the ground. Please make your way to level 1, and walk through the AFL members (Great Southern Stand) all the way to the Olympic
Stand. From the Olympic Stand, access to the Yarra Park Room is accessible through lifts 9,10 and 11.
If you are sitting in our designated reserved seating area in the Ponsford Stand, and you want to access the Social Club before or during the game, please note that you will need to exit via Gate 1 and re-enter via Gate 3 to get into the Olympic Stand. You will be issued with an MCG pass-out when leaving Gate 1 which you will need to present upon entry into Gate 3. You will not be able to re-scan your membership card in the turnstiles. From the Olympic Stand, access to the Yarra Park Room is accessible through lifts 9,10 and 11. Remember, don't leave the ground after the final siren as you will not be permitted back into the ground.
The Yarra Park Room will be open from 5:00pm before the 7.40pm game start. A cash bar will be open at all times and there will be pies, sausage rolls and potato chips on sale.
Social Club Guest Passes will not be available until Round 6 when an allocated number of Social Club Guest Passes will become available. I will provide further details about guest passes prior to the Round 6 clash against Brisbane.
Lucky enough to join us at the post game function are Tom Derickx, Jamie O'Reilly and Tom Hislop.
I would love to see you all at the Social Club function and hopefully we can all celebrate a win over St Kilda. The next Social Club function will be Round 3 against Hawthorn in the brand new ME Bank Centre at Punt Road!
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me directly on 9426 4442 or via email on aaidone@richmondfc.com.au and I will be happy to assist you.
Kind Regards,
Ashley Aidone

SOCIAL CLUB FUNCTION ROUND 3
---------------------------------
Round 3, Richmond v Hawthorn
Saturday 9th April, MCG, 7.10pm
Dear OE,
This week we take on Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday night and we are very excited that we can welcome you to our brand new Social Club at the new ME Bank Centre at Punt Road Oval. The Social Club will be available both before and after the game on Saturday night from 5pm.
ONLY Social Club members can enter the venue. Social Club members can also access the Yarra Park Room on Level 3 of the Olympic Stand. This room will also be available from 5pm and is accessible through lifts 9,10 and 11.
There will be a post game function in the Yarra Park Room at the MCG after the game. Richmond fullback Alex Rance will be interviewed on stage in the Yarra Park Room 20 minutes after the final siren. The Social Club in the new ME Bank Centre will also be open after the game.
Please note, there will be no players or coaches attending the Social Club in the ME Bank Centre at Punt Road this week.
We encourage all Social Club members to go to the Yarra Park Room post game to hear from Alex Rance and then head to the Social Club at the ME Bank Centre.
REMEMBER if you want to attend the Social Club in the ME Bank Centre after the game you must RSVP.
Click link [provided] to RSVP if you will be visiting the Social Club at the ME Bank Centre after this Saturday's game:
You must bring your 2011 Richmond membership card to the Social Club, so we can scan your barcode to allow entry.
We are certain that all Social Club members will recognise that the first couple of weeks in the new facility will be very busy and for that reason, we will not be making Social Club guest passes available until the Round 6 game. Whilst we recognise that there will be excitement around the new opening, we also recognise that Social Club members have every right to expect quality service based on the money that you have paid. For this reason, the facility will be Social Club members only for Rounds 3 and 4.
I will provide further details about guest passes prior to the Round 6 clash against Brisbane.
If you need any queries please contact me directly via telephone on (03) 9426 4442 or via email on aaidone@richmondfc.com.au

Be thankful you have a spare 4 grand to put towards your footy passion.
Lots of our supporters struggle to find the $180 for a std membership.
Sorry if I don't have any sympathy.

I know people struggle to pay for memberships - been there, I know I am fortunate that I am not in that position now
However, it doesn't matter if we are talking $4k, $600+ for the social club, $180 for the standard membership or the $90 odd for the Grand Final Ticket guarantee people have right to feel aggrieved if they feel they are not getting what they paid for
Sorry if you don't undertand that ;D

totally agree, just another disaster at Punt Rd :banghead

also the social club set up is a complete mess, why on earth you have to RSVP is a disgrace.
Also, why hold functions in the Yarra Room when you have a social club 300 metres away.
I have said this all along, there are decisions and people who work in football clubs that have little idea. ::)
I am just waiting for the day they dont send me an email and I cant therefore rsvp and they wont let me in, I wont miss anyone with my response either.
Take note RFC Official if your reading ;)

Are you not getting what you paid for or are you not getting what you want? Just a question because I'm not sure exactly what you paid for.
It not about what I want because what I want is not an available option in 2011 because the Club made a change to its Coterie packages which I don't shy away from not being happy about. And yes I have voiced that to the Club directly
However, based on how the the email I rec'd last night reads I don't appear to be getting what I've paid for. I will be speaking to the Club about that this morning to clarify the said email

As you know you need to RSVP then if you dont recieve the email, for whatever reason, just ring up Ashley. You will find her to be more than helpful :thumbsup

Correct me if i am wrong. Supporters pay money to access the facilities they have on offer, thus its called a social club.
its farcical that they want to run the yarra room and they direct people back to the social club for what?
No players either back at social club ::) ::) ::)
-
considering the new center is not 100% complete you're being a bit petulant there Jack. They have asked in an email that we be patient as things get sorted.
As for the yarra park room, it is listed as part of the social club membership that you will have access to it and the Victory room at Docklands before, during and after home games.

obviously Ash is related to you ;D
I suppport WP here .
The new centre was complete enough for the FTF launch.
Its alright for them to ring and ask for donations and upgrade of memberships.
if they offer you something, then deliver I say. pretty simple don't you think.
Its pretty simple to have a social club with members and have it capped, like all the other clubs and supporter groups they have run in the past.
In this instance its fair to assume that they joined up a certain amount of members that they don't have the capcity to service.
-
Not related, just got looked after really well while was in Melbourne.
My guess would be that they need to know numbers attending so they can allocate guest passes. Would you spew if you turned up after a game and they said there was no room due to the number of guest passes handed out?
Just give them a fair chance to get things in order, i reckon.

few issues at the social club.
***No air conditioning, ( was a hot house last night )
** it aint a nightclub, having loud music playing in the background aint good when people are trying to talk footy.
**slow service at bar, bar not big enough.
**2 people trying to check approx 1000 people in with a scanner aint good, took 20 mins standing outside to get in,mmmmmmm
**Apparently no TV connection so no replays of game,( no foxtel )
**Also felt sorry for the 2 players as supporters continually talked and drowned the players out at times.\
all of the above need to sorted out very quickly.
Really isnt that hard to run a Telstra line for setting up cable for TV etc.
Also they tell me that the Footy Dept has no access to Foxtel at the present time

All very valid points, you should drop the club a line. The club owes you a reply that it understands the issues, that they are teething problems (which I am assuming is the case) and that they have a plan to resolve it.
The club owes that much to supporters who are spending $1000 that they are running a business not a suburban club.
-
Would love to to have someone from the club before games as well.
IT makes it hard to for people to go after night games and get home.
-
especially when it takes 20 mins plus to gain entry ::)
will drop line to club tomorrow.
Not good.
-
I haven't been after games - Way too hard after night games.
Will be next week and yup they have a few things they need to iron out.
Think the DJ is a carry over from their bbqs downstairs, would like to see them back next year.
Wasn't happy they had the Yarra Park room yesterday when we pay for a social club, cmon Richmond wtf. Tell you why, social club was $4 for a can, cheaper than the pub :thumbsup I go to Social club "Yarra Park" room & only beer, carlton stubbies $7 wtf is that? Sh|t way to treat members :banghead
-
good feedback, i hope it's taken on board as I was considering upgrading my membership to include socail club
-
escpecially when they charge you good $$$$$
-
And again this week - Stick the Yarra room up ur rs Richmond! Will be going to the Cricketers.

SOCIAL CLUB ROUND 7 UPDATE

Dear OE,
We have some very special guests at our post game Social Club function this week.

Please note the Social Club at the ME Bank Centre will not be open prior to the Round 7 match. All Social Club members are able to access the Yarra Park Room from 2.30PM at the MCG.

Please note that Social Club RSVPs and guest pass requests for Round 7 will be accepted until 4PM this Friday.
You can enter the Social Club in the ME Bank Centre by following the path to the new TigerLand SuperStore at the Brunton Avenue end of Punt Road Oval. Staff will be at the entrance to greet you.
You must bring your 2011 Richmond membership card to the Social Club, so we can scan your barcode to allow entry.
I would also like the opportunity to answer some queries I have received in relation to the 2011 Social Club. The weekly emails have been great in opening a channel of communication, but the majority of replies are in relation to the following topics which I'll discuss below:
1. The Social Club will be themed. Members need to be conscious that the Social Club is used for numerous other purposes during the week and not solely for the use and branding of the Social Club. But yes, shortly the facility on game day, will look more like the Richmond Social Club.
2. Please be aware that the ME Bank Centre is still under construction, with various works being undertaken every day. The Social Club's AV, Foxtel and televisions are not yet installed. Like you, we are eagerly awaiting the installation so that they can be utilised for our Social Club functions in the near future.
3. Meals will not be available pre or post game for the 2011 season, but this will be reviewed at the end of the season for the future.
4. Whilst the main bar can at times appear crowded, an additional portable bar on the other side of the room is available to assist the beverage service. Soft drink will also be available there this week.
5. The Social Club membership only guarantees post match functions for all home games. In 2011, we will also open the facility for all away games at the MCG and when available, pre-game. Please read my weekly emails to see when the facility will be open on game days.
If you have any queries please contact me directly via telephone on (03) 9426 4442 or via email on aaidone@richmondfc.com.au

Gunna lose a lot of members if they dont up the ante next year.
Not me personally but weighing up my options.
With sold home games no away game functions no interstate do's visits are as rare as hens teeth.
They need to get the barbies and beer flowing downstairs again asap, a lot of money not being made from these things as well as the flow on effect of feeling a part of the club and Punt Rd and the superstore to boot.
And pi55 the DJ off, was gr8 outside just dont work indoors.
Get a TAB up and running have the races on the tv's - ohh more tv screens.
Start thinking about it Tigers - Make it somewhere that can be used more often than not.
It really is kinda sterile.
Actually bring back the check board disco floor :thumbsup
-
what peeed me off after the swans win, they had one TV on channel 7 which was on delay, and the 2 big screens on a replay of the game from Tigers Swans clash from 2010 ?????? :banghead :banghead
Thats mental stuff.
As for the DJ, already complained about that, its aint a night club, it doesnt work !!!!
-
sometimes i do agree with you jacky.
That's just ordinary.
If i get to use my membership and it's like that i'll be :chuck
-
If it weren't for the GF guarantee I'd be spending my money elsewhere. Just haven't seen the value in it this year.
-
I have MCC I really just get it so I could sit with freinds if we get there some day.
Really if you have a reserved seat as a member of a club (Maybe like the reward thing 10-15 years+) you should get those for the GF because really in the end that's what it's all about.
As enjoyable as it would be alone in the MCC "Well with a bulldog and another Tiger and a whoever else turns up" just wouldn't be quite the same as the usual gang during the many seasons we have endured.
AFL sucks and I am after all, after my time! Would love to have been born back in the 20s or so. Apart from now being 90 odd in case of smart replies! ;D
Would easily go back to suburban footy every second week in the rain, soft idiots these days I tell ya.
No aggots ize tellz ya, no aggots!!!!!!

In the Victory Room Social Club post-match: Jake King and David Astbury will be interviewed on stage approximately 30-minutes after the completion of the match.
So Craig's campaign to get an early extension to his five year contract ramps up a gear with an address to the Social Club.
Follows his comments about more development coaches, an experienced assistant and new contracts for Nahas, King and Tuck.
Nice to see he's listening to the supporters but what about the first four years in the job.
If someone wants to ask a question how about this:
"As General Manager of Football Operations, does the buck stop with you in regards to List Structure, Player Welfare, Player Fitness and Player Development?"
"If so, are you happy with the way these have been handled in your first four years in the job and if not, why haven't you done anything before now?"
I'd be interested in his answers but I guess it will all come down to lack of finances.

The Social Club membership will be now known from 2012 onwards as the Maurice Rioli Club membership.
I'll post the full details from the flyer when I get chance.
-
Here's the flyer:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SOCIAL CLUB MEMBERSHIP IN 2012
Maurice Rioli, who passed away on Christmas Day 2010, is regarded as one of the greatest players in Richmond's, long, proud history. Rioli thrilled the Tiger faithful with his dazzling skills in a decorated 118-game league career from 1982-87. He won the Jack Dyer Medal twice (1982& 1983), the Norm Smith Medal for best afield in the 1982 Grand Final against Carlton, was runner-up in the 1983 Brownlow Medal, and earned All-Australian selection three times. Years later, Rioli was named in the AFL Indigenous Team of the Century, and inducted as a Legend into the AFLNT Hall of Fame.
Both on and off the field, Maurice Rioli was a trailblazer for the Indigenous community. After his retirement from football, Rioli became a politician in the Northern Territory Parliament, and then worked in Community Services on the Tiwi Islands, focusing his time heavily on Indigenous issues.
Richmond unveiled the 'Maurice Rioli Room' at its 2011 Grand Final eve luncheon held in the new Korin Gamadji Institute, as a lasting tribute to the Tiger champion of the 1980s. The Club's CEO, Brendon Gale, said at the launch: "At Richmond, we are extremely proud of our history and of those individuals, players and volunteers, who have built the Club into what it is. There's no doubt Maurice Rioli was a very significant figure in the history or our Club, so we have a responsibility to celebrate his legacy".
The Club has decided to further honour Rioli by re-naming the Richmond Social Club membership the Maurice Rioli Club membership. Social Club activities will be held in what is now the Maurice Rioli Room.
As well as the re-naming of the Social Club membership, the Club has also listened to your feedback from 2011 and made the following improvements to the package at no extra cost to you.

Round 8, Essendon v Richmond
Saturday, May 19, MCG, 7.45PM
Dear OE,
The biggest game of the year is already upon us: DREAMTIME AT THE G.
The Maurice Rioli Room will be open pre and post game this week.
Pre-game the Maurice Rioli room will be open with a cash-bar available. You are not required to register your attendance pre-game and one guest is permitted with each Maurice Rioli member into the venue.
There is a big crowd expected this week and we have been advised by the MCG that it is highly recommended that all Richmond members and supporters purchase a reserved seat for Saturday's game. This can be done by contacting Ticketek via telephone on 132 849 or going online www.ticketek.com.au
16-gamers please be aware: if this game becomes a sell out, your membership will not guarantee you access into the ground to view the game. To avoid disapointment, we recommend you contact Ticketek and purchase a reserved seat. Have your 12-digit barcode (found on the back of your membership card) ready to ensure that you are only charged for the cost of the seat and not the admission into the game, which you have already paid for via your 16-game membership.
Alternatively, the Richmond Corporate Sales team have reserved seats on the second level of the Olympic Stand and access to a private room (Yarra Park room) for $60. Tickets are limited so get in fast! Tickets can only be purchased through the membership team by contacting 1300 RICHMOND (1300 742 466).
The ME Bank Centre will be open to all Maurice Rioli Club members for post-match celebrations once the final siren has sounded. If you are wanting to attend the Maurice Rioli Room post-match please register your intention of attending, via this link [Ed. see email].

Last chance to become a Maurice Rioli Club member
Richmond members are being advised to prepare for the inevitability that the Maurice Rioli Club will reach its capacity through the 2013 renewal period.
“Striking the right balance between offering great service, and generating maximum revenues, is important to us,” said Richmond’s CEO Brendon Gale.
“We have had a number in mind, for some time, that we believe would represent capacity in the Maurice Rioli Club membership and we expect to hit that number at some stage during renewals this year.”
In addition to accessing the Maurice Rioli Room at the ME Bank Centre, Punt Road Oval, after Richmond’s MCG games, where past and present players are interviewed, Maurice Rioli membership also includes a Grand Final ticket guarantee, should the Tigers be participating.
“I think most football supporters are aware of the realities around Grand Final ticket allocations. We are given a limited amount of tickets by the AFL and we need to, somehow, allocate them out to our members. Unfortunately, we are closing in fast on exhausting that allocation,” Gale said.
Outside of Coterie or Premiership Circle membership, Maurice Rioli Club membership is the only way to guarantee yourself the opportunity to purchase a Grand Final ticket.
Maurice Rioli Club members also have the opportunity to come along to the ME Bank Centre, when Richmond is playing interstate, to watch the action live on the big screen in the Maurice Rioli Room.
If all 2012 Maurice Rioli Club members renew in 2013, there will be about 300 vacancies left open in this membership category. Once those vacancies are exhausted, prospective members will go on a waiting list and be upgraded as places become available.
Members on the Committed Tiger payment plan can have Maurice Rioli Club membership added to their monthly debit immediately and payments adjusted as of the first debit on November 28, 2012.
Those members who pay up front, can make contact with the Club, where staff will explain how they can add Maurice Rioli Club membership for 2013. Any member wishing to make this addition for 2013, should contact the Club on 1300 742 466, or email Ash Aidone directly on aaidone@richmondfc.com.au
The cost of Maurice Rioli Club membership in 2013 will be $255 for adults, $165 for concession and $85 for children. Further discounts are available for country/interstate and MCC members.

-
Apparently you can't get two together on L2 though - unless someone lets theirs go.
-
And the new Premiership Circle will get you one too from 2013. :gotigers
Yes correct - got a letter about that yesterday. Interesting read it was ;D
Also all other Coteries (eg Inner Sanctum) are guaranteed GF tickets
So you buy a standard membership + MRC on top of that and you get GF Guarantee?
Is that 1 GF ticket per membership or 2?
You get 1 GF ticket
I want 2
then you better buy 2 memberships with MRC memberships attached
Done. Can you then get seats nexts to each other?
Yep just request it when you purchase the membership
I'm confused? I'm talking about buying an 11 games Tigers membership without reserved seats and then purchasing the MRC as well..
If we were to make a GF and I had 2 11 game memberships and 2 MRC memberships, wouldn't they just alocate me 2 random seats in the GF that weren't next to each other?

I wouldn't think so Mrakov. The GF is fully ticketed so you would get a reserved seat anyway and when the time comes to purchase your GF tickets through the club I'm sure they will give you the option to purchase them in blocks for all eligible ticketholders, just like they do now with interstate games for members. I might be wrong but that's how I would see it happening.

You're confused????
If you want 2 tickets to the GF then you would need to buy 2 11 game memberships + 2 MRC m'ships
Your GF tickets wouldn't come from the club - you go to Ticketek and buy it, so if you buy 2 tickets the seats would be next to each other
Club would just advise Ticketek of the bar codes that are valid to buy GF tickets

So what is the expected value of a GF ticket for Richmond? Zero is a possibility, but I prefer to think of it as a number approaching zero. Not zero for sentimental reasons, but zero for the purpose of analytical calculus. :help

Dear OE,
This week the club flies to Perth to take on the West Coast Eagles Monday night, June 3.
Due to the lack of registered interest in viewing the telecast from the Maurice Rioli Club the past two interstate games this season, along with the game being on a Monday night, the telecast won’t go ahead at the Club for this game.
The next Maurice Rioli Club function will be Richmond v Adelaide Crows, Saturday, June 15.
If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me directly via email aaidone@richmondfc.com.au

Thanks OE.
Is access possible & available to the playing surface ?
Not sure this weekend Darth as it's been raining for most of this week and it's likely going to be wet on Saturday as well. Normally when it's dry I've seen kids have kick-to-kick on the oval pre-game.
-
Cheers OE,
That means one wet duffle coat for the young fella.

WTF's everyone gonna do in the Maurice Rioli Social room once we start playing reserves at Punt Road.... it'll be a case of 100 people clammered around each of the 3 port holes to get a view... crap design!

That room is terrible! It stinks and everyone gets so hot and sweaty. They don't even have openable windows ffs. If the MRC membership didn't include the GF guarantee, I wouldn't bother.
I don't think I'll ever go there again. Richmond pubs are so much better pre game.
