CUB, if you mean P Bowden's jumper number he's got 16. (9 is retired for the year)
Apologies if you meant something else. :)

The Tigers have come to terms on a trade for Western Bulldog Patrick Bowden, who will be reunited with his brother Joel at Punt Road. In the deal, the clubs will exchange fourth-round draft picks (the Bulldogs moving from 59 to 56) and the Dogs will pay a small amount of Bowden's modest contract.

He sucks!

he cant be that bad, i have always though patrick was ok , better than ok, and miller already stated this week that they were all real pleased with patrick and he is already showing that he is one of the most skillful players at the club. not bad for a dud :thumbsup

Really, he was never a dud. Being a Bowden his skills were always class - little doubt over that. At 24, 191, 90kg+ you expect him to be a really decent player, not struggling to play even 8 games for the Doggies, only 3 after Round 5.

If he plays anywhere near his potential he will be a wonderful scoop for the Tigers. If he continues his form at the Bulldogs he will be delisted over the next season or 2 as the likes of Meyer, Limbach and co. should be better prospects. He fits in our overall list struture well because the 20-25 year old part on our list is pretty bare, more so for KPP. For only a 4th round draft pick he was a calucalted risk, like Humm which wont be too bad if he doesnt come good. (although i would have loved Austin Lucy 4th round - http://www.footydraft.com/players.php?player=austin_lucy, the Scum got a steal.)

I think the real question is if Pat will be just a stop gap untill some of the kids mture or a real long term solid member of our best 22. Im sure he will have every chance to prove him self.

i have no doubt he played crap so he would come out of flavour with eade, he wanted to be a tiger a yr b4 but the doggies didnt wanna trade. dont judge patrick on 05's efforts as he was tanking it

Mate, he was crap in the VFL GF - and you do not tank gf's at any level. I will have an open mind and give the guy a chance/support as I will all players on our list.
Having said that I would be surprised if he cemented a spot in our best 22 and was an above average player. C'Mon Paddy prove me wrong, seriously.

Blame Mopsy for reminding me of this thread  ;).

lmfao@what the Bulldogs offered for him. Let's us know what we're getting.

Basically paid us to take the dud off their hands.

That is so true John ;D. We most likely won't be using our 4th pick anyway so we'll get him for nothing.

I don't know why we are chasing after these fringe/VFL players. Sheesh we might even be considering extending his contract to 2 years! Madness!  :banghead

Didn't we learn our lesson giving VFL players like Morrison 2-year deals to come to Tigerland  :help  >:(.

Oops :wallywink
