Dustin Martin re-signs with RichmondDate September 30, 2013 - 1:42PM
Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin has re-signed with the Tigers, extending his contract by two years.
Richmond and Martin's management met on Friday and again on grand final day, and the deal is expected to be formally announced at the club's best and fairest dinner on Monday night.
Earlier this month, contract negotiations between Martin and the Tigers broke down. He spoke to other clubs, but his last option fell through on Sunday when Brisbane announced they would not consider signing him.
Martin had been shown around the premises at GWS headquarters, but the Giants decided not to pursue him.
The strongly built right-footer has played 86 games in four seasons, averaging 22 disposals and a goal per outing. He polled 16 Brownlow Medal votes in 2013.
