Question:- Are some bad habits creeping into Lloydy's journalism?

It is taking a very long bow to describe Lloyd's garbage as journalism.

More groundbreaking footy journalism, this time from Barrett's Sliding Doors column today:

IF .... Dusty has been going through the motions this year ...

THEN ..... he'll need to do more than that against Jacobs on Sunday.

Dig through the middle of this thread and you’ll find some absolute gold about How we should have Taken Jetta over Dusty :lol
Must have been after Jetta strung his only two good games he’s ever had together  :whistle

And both of those games must have been against us. For years we struggled to shake the Pitura effect. Thankfully we have matured now.

Scully, Trengove and Martin should all be 200 game players. So whoever we get isnt a problem. One thing I like about Martin is that he is a bigger type midfielder and will complement our existing group really well. Our draft wont be made of who is our first pick. It will be determined by if we can trade out any players and get picks and who we pick in the 2nd and 3rd round as well as who we draft with the picks we get from other clubs for our traded out players.

I was doing some good work back in 2009 lol

Judith Donnelly (our media manager) was on SEN this morning and she said the media have been over the top since draft day about Martin's tattoo to the point some journos even wanted a joint photo of Dustin and his dad topless showing off their tatts. The media also kept pestering Martin and the Club about how many clubs called him "dumb" at draft camp etc. Judith said she found that sort of behaviour and questioning by the media disgusting. She regrets using colourful language and wouldn't use it if she had her time again but she said the club was happy with the job she did and Martin's dad called to thank her and the Club for looking after his kid.

Judy Donnelly was a gun at her job she did a great job back then. Its been fun re-reading this thread.

Dusty will need to get use to opposition clubs trying to heavily tag him again after being held today. Mind you in the last quarter, when Jacobs went to Cotch, his F50 entries lead directy to two crucial goals. So Dusty still had a vital impact on the game despite a quiet first 3 quarters.

I have faith in Dusty. He has set the standard very high for himself. There will be times where Cotchin will be a bit off while he wears the heavy tag so I hope to dear god he can handle the extra heat he will be getting for the rest of the year.

I’d have to concede that our boy was beaten today.

Id like to see dusty have a couple of weeks break. Will help at the pointy end of the season.
