Dusty's footy smarts and his ability and strength to always remain on his feet sets him apart from everyone is the comp. It allows him to stay in contests when others go to ground. His goal in the third quarter of last year's GF was a perfect example. The ball coming in is allowed to bounce at HF and everyone else around it either falls over each other trying to reach it or ends up out of position while Dusty maintains his feet and just sweeps in and fires off the outside of his right boot in one motion for the bounced through goal.

He looks like a Dustin. And he looked like a future Tiger immortal even then.

Best in our lifetime Ramps?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I was born 1970. Up till now I thought KB was the best id seen but Dusty has gone past him I reckon. Its hard coz KB was causing havoc way into his 30s, but Dustys body of work cant be denied.

At least Dusty has a semi-sensible haircut. So he gets my vote.
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

Yep, don’t mind it.
I’d have Scarlo, Vossy and Diesel a bit higher but that’s a pretty damn good list Dio

Great list but no Andrew McLeod. I rate him easily in the top 10 players to play the game.

Was toss up between him & Burgoyne....probably should've just put him in and made it a first 22...... :shh

Yep, excellent effort Dio. Can't obviously see who would come out of your list for him but did you consider Hird (player version)?

Hird, FIGJAM, Kouta, SOS, Rhys-Jones, Doull...even Wayne Johnson who I probably hated more than any other player... were all considered....as were Daicos, Steynes, Flower, Peter Matera, Cuz, Fyfe, Nick Riewoldt, Tim Watson, Long, Quinlan, Dempsey, Krakouer bros, Schimmelbusch, Garry Wilson, Riccuito..Knighter, Nathan Brown before he broke his leg, pretty much half the Hawthorn side of the 80's etc... :shh

Top list, Dio. Before Dusty came along I had Wayne Johnson as the best finals player I had seen.
