In the above scenario big Darrou is first cab off the rank to replace any of the three key defensive options.

Must be rushed back ASAP as part of a finals charge.

“David Astbury was probably winning our best and fairest before he went down. Dusty’s had an incredible season, Brandon Ellis has taken his game to the next level and we’ve found the young kid Miles, which is exciting for us,” Hardwick said.

I wouldn't go that far, but comfortably the most improved - didn't get a bag kicked on him and went through a patch where he kept Roughead, Cloke and someone else to a goal each whilst we were getting smashed. If he continues on in that vein it helps structure us up heaps

Imagine if he was back in a 2 weeks. Vickery and Astbury plus Jackson and Conca. 4 very important players for Richmond.

Good bye to Thomas

Not sure of the logic behind it TBH

VFL season finishes this week, so he gets to play one game and then .....

Well it would be strange if they took him up to Sydney to play on the dodgy ANZ stadium surface after only one VFL game of limited game time

But then again.   :whistle

"Thanks for the well wishes for my first game back, it's been awesome. Got through unscathed, felt great, and have pulled up really well!"

Morris talking about Astbury coming back from his knee injury ....

“For a big guy, his fitness is outstanding.  He’s running the best times that he’s ever run, so that’s a great indication that his knee’s come back, and he’s back at the top of his game.

“Fingers crossed he can stay sound because he certainly is a big boy that can do extremely good things on the footy field.”
