Nought dropped Edwards and he still can't get a game.

Advise you to go and reconsider the job that Blair Hartley actually performs for the club.
It is to find players who aren't getting a game at their present club but would improve the list at Richmond.

Think of players like Houli not getting a run at Essendon or Grigg not getting a run at Carlton or Maric not getting a run at Adelaide. All of them were getting overlooked by their clubs for players who virtually everybody outside those clubs thought were duds.

Guess what? Hartley saw underdeveloped talent and gave them a chance. They are now regular players for Richmond. Would you seriously dispute that Maric, Houli and Grigg are not in our best 21?

Let Hartley do his job. Whoever Hartley gets for next year I think he has deserved our faith based on present result and Lyons article shows most others in the AFL agree, despite your idea that you know better ahead of Blair's choice.

I remember all the Hansen v Gumbleton hype in the media before they were drafted. The next Jackovic v Carey.

Whilst you are totally right in what you say about Blair Redan and what some said about Ivan I was of the notion lets get Ivan as long as it does not cost us the earth for him. To supplement what I am saying anybody was better than Graham and Browne as it was well known we had the worst ruck division in the league.

However with regards to Lachie I just feel with the number of talls we have currently in our stocks and with all due respect to Blair we actually have some talls that can play and assuming we delist blokes like Derickx or Post at the end of the year all we would be doing with Lachie is replacing a tall with a tall.

All it is, is merely a hope that in two seasons Hansen turns out better than Post.

Furthermore given Adelaide's recruiting where Maric came from compared to Nought in the last half a dozen years and I'm confident than Hansen is a dud and someone who the rigors of AFL is not cut out for. Another Richard Tambling IMHO.

If we get him whilst I will be unhappy and will consider his selection a waste of a pick I won't be as manic as others in their opposition and should he turn out to be serviceable will more than happy wear it on here but I feel that this kid just can't it. I may also add that if we get him or anybody else does and he does well it may be a result of the Nought system and Brad Scott as coach that brought him down and that's a slur on them and why they are so pathetic.

I'm happy to say he's a dud though.

I saw something in lachie a few years ago, don't know what's happened the past 18 months... Is an athletic freak, capable of going with buddy, is very strong overhead, has a good character but always had question marks on his kicking. I wouldn't be adverse to picking him up for bugger all ala houli and Grigg

Id like to see him as that big lug that stays home all day and can take that clutch pack mark in the goal square, kick his 3 or so ea week and compliment jacks work :shh
