But on the other hand,

Club says we made finals 3 years in a row. That's an achievement and we must have stability

Folks i need to ask this..In your opinions ,does he need to go because hes not good at his job,or is the club at fault because they've put him in a role beyond his capabilities?
Simply, talked the talk early on but hasn't walked the walk.

Failed to deliver any big names to Tigerland despite promising to do so.
Failed in recent times to solve our list deficiencies and address our list needs due to inactivity at this time of the year. Blind Freddy could see we've desperately needed quick, skillful small forwards and a decent back-up ruckman (not Hampson) since 2012;
Failed to trade out deficient players on our list who still have trade value as a means to bring in players that actually address our list deficiencies.
Paid overs for duds - like Hampson for pick 28  :scream.
This and last year's trade/FA period has hardly been inspiring  :P.

The Club has a rating system out of 1000 for every player in the AFL as well as the draftees with 500 being your average decent AFL footballer. It's basically the sum of ratings of 10 categories each scored out of 100. How Blair could rate Hampson, who can't reliably perform basic skills such as kicking or marking, as equivalent to a decent mid-range second round pick #28, makes you query how the rankings are determined and Blair's ability to judge a footballer and make list management decisions.

yesssss let it all out  :clapping

3 years of talk and no action. Now not only do we have stigma of elimination final loss but according to outsiders we can't secure talent from outside even if this year's efforts were bad luck
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.

Instead of current day Hawthorn, Geelong etc.... the club prefers to keep judging itself against 1976/83 -2012 RFC ...setting the bar really high there....

Unfortunately for us, those 3 final series in a row is a huge achievement compared to years of firing coaches and wallowing down the bottom......

Of course we need to get beyond that now, and it looks like the current group have one last year to show their worth. No excuses if we don't get a top 4 position. That's my minimum.

A top four finish wih a twin consecutive loss exit would be what dimmer could guarantee.

Ralphy has partly nailed it, even he can see it  :rollin

@RalphyHeraldSun: Tigers list manager Blair Hartley under pressure too over the Yarran deal. Got their man. Not a whiz-bang trade period but addressed needs

Hmmm...addressed the inside mid need by replacing Matt Arnot with another fringe player.....and considering we intend to play Yarran of half back - one position we have well covered - did we really address a need by getting him?

yeah we stopped him flogging us by kicking 4 goals or getting 40 touches on the hbf every round 1
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

So now we might beat them by 9 goals instead of 5......

This is part of the Yarran myth. He has had two good games in his last 10 against us.He has never had  30 possesions in a game yet alone 40. He has kicked 3 goals or more on just 9 occasions and his best haul is 4 twice, and never against us.
Yes his to good games was in rnd 1. My gripe remains he plays a couple of good games mixed with a couple of decent games and the rest are poo. When this bloke is poor hes freakin lousy.

Ijust realised michael Talia was traded to Sydney for pick 69 and a round four selection next year. FMd. Ithink tis will come back to bite everyone not just us.
I dont get it why is the club not going hard at one or two tall defenders. It is ludicrous.

....think Talia was better off getting the hell out of Victoria for a few years and was probably strongly advised to do so.... :shh
