Marchy (as Wallace kept calling him in the weeks leading up to his sacking) has been on the board since 2002 and was vp in 2005. So he may not be a dill but it was a soft cok effort to allow all the incompetence around him - the losses and the appoinment of Wallace. At worst he is a dill and being a soft cok and a dill makes him a dilldodo!

PS Jack is over rated, if he was at the Cats noone would want to talk to him and Cats fans would most probably be less than impressed with those guns, compare 'em to about 30 other cats players.

Or was he the one responsible for removing each and every dill as the opportunity arose?

He wasn't in charge when Wallace was signed for 5 years and Casey rode roughshod over the whole operation until his demise so whatever March or any other board member said up to that point was most likely going to be ignored.  How do you know March didn't speak out in board meetings?  Once in power, if he sacked Wallace early then he risked the "Richmond always sack coaches" mob going feral again and he had more important issues to work on first - ensuring the longevity of the club by getting the financial house in order.  He did that, then has gradually increased the revenue available to the football department and then removed Wallace and his gang when he was able to with as little negativity or detriment to the club as possible.  All I can see is a President who has removed the incompetence around him at the most opportune or only available times.  Not taking action when your knee jerk attitude demands doesn't necessarily mean he is soft - there is a lot more to taking action or no action, than meets the eye.

I certainly agree with all of that.
Jack Riewoldt has achieved very little in the game to date.

The club looked like complete dills with the handling of the Terry Wallace saga last year.
Also March looked like a complete dill on several occasions last year,
One day he said bluntly that we would not be taking Cousins under any circumstance and then he is falling in love with him , even to the extent that Cuz stayed at Marchs place for 3 weeks.
And there is a reason why Steve Wright aint there anymore, but we will move on.
How did the Wallace thing make the club look like dills?  Contracts end, he was surplus to requirements, the media makes up their own soap opera, that is not the fault of the club.

A. who gives a stuff about the cats or their fans (or their 'guns')???
B. Jack is rated just fine inside and outside of the club, he will probably sink or swim this year.  If he was put up as trade bait they would of been all over him like flies on an poo.  One day we will refer back to this thread and one of us may have to eat our words on Jack, I am a humble bloke and will do so without complaint but I am steadfast in my belief that he will be a good forward for us.

correct.

he will be a good forward for us just needs some help around there. The likes of Hughes and Petrified isn't exactly a forward line who can assist him.

Thank stuff for Nahas and the likes of Post coming through

Riewoldt is still a 3rd forward. We need Griffiths to come through.

I agree entirely Smokey....March and his board have slowly but surely put in place some corporate governance so that the business of RFC runs smoothly and efficiently regardless of who is President...there is now accountability by the football department...which was not there previously...

As for the backflip on Cuz....I suggest people ask those in the football department why that occurred....from my knowledge, Wallace got a large say in who was recruited in the PSD...Wallace was trying to coach the team into the finals to renew his contract....I have no issues with the so called backflip....people, boards, clubs are allowed to change their minds without being lambasted for it...we all do it daily at home and at work....so what is the big deal if the RFC did it too...actually it shows some maturity to do so...and not make decisions that are set in stone...So far no one is suggesting that the so called Cuz backflip was a mistake...on the contrary...Cuz was one of the few on field leaders at the club last year....

I am supportive of teh president and the board...they have a vision and they are slowly implementing it....well done.

I cant believe some of you clowns are bagging this kid at such an early stage, stuff me he is so new to AFL. Surley one of you ........... well I will call you people.. can see that he is developing every year and big men take longer. This year he has bulked up even more.

Opinions are one thing but their don't seem to be any structured or faactual comments based on why he is "so" bad at this early stage of his career. All I read is "he is no good" (great comment), on par with his cousin (magic stuff), achieved very little (how longs he been in the team...dill).

In years to come he will be one of the best forwards in the comp IMO and a leader at our club.

Get off his back give him a chance or stuff off............... :banghead :banghead :banghead

Who's bagging him?

I hope he becomes one of the greatest in the game too like you're suggesting(Fact?) but he's not anywhere near there yet and unless I can borrow your crystal ball WAT is not a certainty to be what you say either. Right at this point in time he's a promising young KPP with some strengths and some flaws and that's it.

As for the f*** off comment. That's just childish.

Of course he's not near it yet HE IS STILL DEVELOPING, but rather than look forward to him progressing you need to keep reminding us of how far away his is from it ....... apparently. I have also read a lot, hell of a lot more childish comments on this site than stuff off!!
