But looking at that squad, in all probability we are going to be smashed by a near full-strength Maggot-Pie line-up. I know it's only a practice match, but I wish we'd gone in with a stronger team, then given the senior players the week off leading into Rd.1

if we can lose by less than 5 or 6 goals, and someone like Post, Collins, Dea plays really well then it is not too bad.

Yeah, but by then we'll probably be playing North or Brissie, or some other side I couldn't give a toss about.....
When it comes to the Pies, I'd want to go all out to beat them at tiddly-winks.

Yeah there isn't much to like about that bloke. Since Tom Harley led Geelong to a flag its been the "make your unassuming backman the captain" era. It's as if they're using the Quarterback model, but i think it comes off as sterile.

But yeah first year players beware of Maxwell's attempts to inspire, not with his talent mind you, with his ability to pick off kids.
