I thought the first quarter was OK - we played terrible (couldn't hit the side of the barn with some of our kicks) but remained in the game because they at leasd tried to fight it out
2nd quarter was terrible, woeful and anything else you care to throw in
3rd quarter was very good - that has to be norm not the exception, against really good side it probably still wont be enough but it gives you hope. Against weaker teams (those on par with us

) it will win you a few games
4th quarter was simply diabolical .....
Our lack of leadership when things turn to pooh was on display for all to see yesterday (with the exception of Lids).... that for me at least is a massive problem... has been for yonks and continues to be
I did this

when I read one of the media reviews that said "Newman & Jackson were solid contributors"
FWIW wayne lids played mainly on the grandstand side of the ground and I didn't think Martin was that good; solid yes but in my best no.
Unfortunately his disposal at times really let him down, missed the first option a few times and tried to do too much ....
But more later I'm heading out for a while

The bloke on SEN said that it was poor skills, particulary from the senior players that hurt us. He named Tambling and Deledio as culprits for getting a lot of the ball and not using their opportunities.
Was that a fair/accutate call?
In Tambling's case most definitely - thought Richie's kicking was ordinary yesterday. Lids - no; I thought on the whole he was good, yes he missed some targets and bombed it long into the F50 a few times but I didn't think his disposal was the worst yesterday
