Lol feel for you Jack.

At least it was something positive at the start. Couldn't possibly put money on us on the back of King being up forward.

Agree with your bests but the rest had a dip. We turn the ball over because we're a side pull of C graders with the odd young B Graders hoping to be more. You can't ask a bunch of Grade 2's to pass VCE.

Dont agree with Connors happy to see him make 100 mistakes a game whilst having a crack and putting his body on the line before I see Simmonds hop to attempt to tap the ball to our mids or a McMahon playing.

Simmonds had 0 taps to advantage at 3qtr time. Just play Vickory and Browne.. Simmonds isn't competetive.
Go Tigers!

I thought they played pretty well last night in terms of intensity shame our skill level and a fair few ordinary players are still in our ranks.

Very excited about Cotch, Lids and Martin.

The intensity was ordinary .
43 tackles in a game isnt good.
Intensity is about attack on the ball and the opponent.
Martin , Thomson and Cotchin had half the teams clearances, thats says enough about the teams intensity.
What were the other players doing ?? Watching

if each player makes 1 tackle per quarter thats 88 tackles a game. now i dont know how many tackles the good teams make but I would of thought making 3 or 4 tackles a game would be an easy target to reach.

60-80 tackles a game is where it should be at.
Port had 87 on the weekend.
Hardwick as tough a player as he was, needs to look at the defensive side of the team.
Not just put players in defensive zones and everyone behind the ball.
Otherwise, we wont win a game this year

geez you are FOS!   ;D

intensity was clearly there for large parts, 43 tackles doesn't look good but thats bc boys couldn't stick their tackles against men they were breaking them over and over again.

Bulldogs are the best clearance team in the afl and we BEAT them in this department, nothing wrong with our attack on the ball and man, it was execution & decision making

so FOS

so label a team's effort bc of 1 or 2 individual incidents, pretty pathetic generalisation

No what's pathetic is your views on footy. 43 tackles is low  BUT THAT DOEST TAKE INTO ACCOUNT the huge number of broken tackles by men against boys. So you cannot sit there saying they didn't have a dip simply bc of the tackle count, they just weren't strong enough to make them stick. and hello clearances! that says enough about endeavour so please enough with your uneducated BS

Our intensity was as good as it has been in recent history! You just can't count tackles, what about running to the ball carrier to harrass or running to fill gaps? Nothing wrong with our effort last night, we would have lost by 100 plus last year in same situation and that is with Brown, Bowden, Pettifer etc in the team!

Sorry, you have to count tackles as a key indicator.

Connors=ordinary. Kick of the turnovers :banghead

Disagree 100% Jack.  Connors was the best thing to come out of last night's game with his run, attack on the ball, courage and effectiveness.  Only made a couple of bad skill errors from a lot of possessions and showed some of his team mates up with his effort over 4 quarters.  Very good game from a 21 year old kid who has only played a handful of senior games.

Read my post again Jack. I Said that can't JUST count tackles meaning that tackles alone are not a true indicator of intensity! Connors diving head first to tap the ball on would not appear on the tackle count nor would the fact that after he broke his ribs he went in for a second effort! Stats don't count for everything only when you trying to prove a falsehood!
