"Mark Williams looking distraught in the box"  :rollin

Gus has been great today. Best big man on the ground.

Free to Nahas. Ump pinged the Port player for holding the ball. Point.

EVERY SINGLE PLAYER ON THAT TEAM can hold their heads up high tonight, total commitment, not 1 player squibbed it  :cheers

a couple of special mentions to the lesser likes

Maty white - i dunno whats happened to you son but something just went click in the hawthorn game and hasn't looked back, suddenly NO fumbles, runs lines and uses it respectably. I have never rated him but i dips me lid to him bc this lads turned the corner.

Gus gumby graham, what can I say? this guys actually shown he is capable of manning the trenches whilst we sort out our ruck division, wll never be a gun but is doing what we need, creating a contest and having some impact even. Dominated the hitouts

I think we can win today (famous last words) *grimaces, puts fingers in ears, waits for comment to blow up in face*

well in enjoyed the win by the tiggers and the collect. Put a tigers jumper on the little fella and took him to the pub.
Think no 32 made a massive statement to the critics today. Sublime efffort in the wet.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Gus also had about 13 tackles also.

Lesser lights in those blokes stand up and guess what we win.

Great four quarter effort.

Agree TM noone squibbed it.

Defensively we were top notch today. All the one percenters and the tackling especially was intense.

Hardwick has got this team going in the right direction.

Looks to me like there is some REAL DEVELOPMENT happening at the club with some of these blokes now. Still early days but a few are making some positive progress. This has been the missing ingredient for years and years, early signs are encouraging, but still away to go. be happy.

Yep Griffiths showed some good signs too. That clean speccie in the second and clean on ground level.

Cotch was just silk today. So clean with his hands and so creative.

Why do they make excuses for teams when they're getting beaten by us?
Port played in Darwin - big effing deal  :banghead

Fantastic win for the boys and the coach. Hiilarious watching the song being sung, more blokes were in the circle than on the outside lol. Everyone did great, but our forward line structure going forward looks the goods. Astbury very good and Ben Griffiths will be a very good player. So clean of the ground, big grabs ... where headed in the right direction here people and Hardwicks done a great job so far.

not getting carried away with 1 win bcthey'll still be few and far between but u can def sense there is something building in this group. Its a collective TEAM spirit, ven when getting beaten we never look broken (bar the geelong game) - in the whole scheme of things this is the most important ingredient in developing a strong culture, not there yet but on the right track

i threw my cat in the air with joy as Nason goal went in ...

I don't have a cat Bents  :o but it was the first time in the game I allowed myself to think we were a reasonable chance.

And let's not forget the effort of Luke McGuane when he charged down a kick to rush the behind, taking a heavy knock to the leg in the process, only to get up and charge the contest 30 seconds later while still on one leg and cause a spoil (and Ebert's concussion).  Bloody brave and bloody strong and a timely reminder to us all (me included) that there are more facets to the value of a player to a team than just decision making.

And I lost count of the number of times I saw Tambling arise from the bottom of a pack/contest.  An important observation for a number of reasons.
