Cuz has discharged himself from hospital. So he's gone home  .

He was going to give a media statement but changed his mind after talking to the Club.

So much for being in a coma  l bet he had a good night sleep & relaxing time.
l prefer Cousins & the Club too keep it all in house & not make any statement

Very few footballers would need sleeping tablets after a huge day of football pre-game, game, post game, celebrations, late night.

l hope this will open the eyes of the AFL drug problem  But as the saying goes, There are always those who work in labs experimenting on something to get past the drug testing & developing a new method of performace enhancing.

all sleeping tablets cannot be bought without a prescription, u cannot buy them at the supermarket nong  head

those tablets at the supermarket are just herbal supliements that help u relax not medication

only medication that can be brought at supermarkets are basic pain killer such as panadol, herron, aspirin etc and cough medicines  that dont even work ,

Cousins discharges himself from hospital

AFL star Ben Cousins has discharged himself from a Melbourne hospital after treatment for a suspected adverse reaction to a prescribed sleeping pill.

An Epworth Hospital spokeswoman told reporters the Richmond player had left the hospital late Tuesday morning, but did not give any details on his condition.

It is understood Cousins insisted on discharging himself.

The hospital had indicated Cousins would make a statement, but those plans were cancelled after he spoke to the club.

A Richmond official told reporters outside the hospital the club would only release a written statement later on Tuesday.

Cousins' girlfriend visited the hospital earlier on Tuesday, leaving alone.

UPDATE 12.30pm: Ben Cousins has been discharged from Epworth Hospital after yesterday’s drug-induced medical scare.

Hospital staff confirmed a short time ago that the Brownlow medalist had departed.

His girlfriend Maylea Tinecheff, who had been at the hospital since 8.30am today, left alone at 11.30am before Cousins’ departure to an undisclosed location.

She drove to the couple’s Elsternwick home where she spent about 10 minutes, apparently packing a bag.

When asked by waiting media about Cousins’ condition, she said “He’s good” before asking to be left alone.

Richmond FC says it will make a formal statement this afternoon.

This morning hospital staff said Cousins had spent a comfortable night in hospital.
