i know many drug addicts that are recovering, they stay away from panadol as much as sleeping pills

addicts are addicts , should not be taking any form of drug

archer spoke on radio today and even he became addicted to sleeping pills

why prescribe sleeping pills to an addict , some docs have no stuffing idea

its not a conspiracy but sometimes the truth gets hidden , does anyone really know what the blood test results really were
the truth is the truth, whether it comes out or not is a different story, this is a very delicate situation

So this means zilch?

Beyond this, Ben has requested he also be drug tested by the AFL to prove beyond doubt that illicit drugs were not involved.

So this is going to be good enough?

If our arm of WADA test him and it comes back negative will it be enough?

Or do you honestly believe X that the AFL (you know the mob who de-registered him for 12 mths) and every other drug testing agency in the country is going to cover it up?

Please give me a break

The FACT that Benny has requested he be tested shows pretty clearly to me that he aint got anything to hide

Bottom line is any person can have a reaction to prescribed medication that no-one can foresee and it's a fact.

Froars little helpers are called Imovane - quarter of a tablet does me fine  :thumbsup
Isn't Tamazapan an epileptic drug?

I've had Imovane prescribed to me too, make me sleep fine but it gives me a horrid metallic taste in my mouth for 3 days. Makes water taste like battery acid, so I'd rather just be tired.

u stfu

i never rubbish the club or ben

but ben has only himself to blame, its time he took ownership of his issues rather than hiding it

he is the one who spent the night in hospital in a serious condition , not me not u, i support him 100% but this is not good

i just accept ben for what he is , an addict , not recovering, once an addict always an addict, just like with alcohol

so wtf would a doc give an addict sleeping pills is the real question

So anyone who's ever taken drugs can never use medication again?

Enough with sniping and name calling

You all know the rules - debate the issue but without the sniping and pathetic name calling

Stick to the topic  :banghead :banghead

Me too, but when you get up at 4am every day it's sometimes hard to get off to sleep when I'm supposed to, so sometimes have to take them
I must be mixing Temazepam with something similar.

I'd go to the docs and get them to try something else, there's about 20 different varieties so one will work, just requires you being a guinea pig for a while while you try the samples. The metallic taste issue only affects about 10-20% of people apparently.

Mate you could not be further from the truth! Recovering addicts of both illicit substances and alcohol often need prescription medication to ease the effects of withdrawl! Valium is one such drug! Ever heard of methodone?

I only take them occasionally, only when I'm totally stuffed, which is a lot lately, and then only a quarter to half a tab depending on how long I want to sleep. I'll see if i can get some different ones and see how they go with the taste  :thumbsup
