Operation a successBy Tony Greenberg
Tue 14 Dec, 2010Richmond’s “Operation 10,000” is off to a flying start, with more than 2000 new Tiger members already signed up for next season.
The Club launched Operation 10,000 in November, aiming to sign 10,000 new, or lapsed, Richmond members by the 2011 cut-off date for memberships.
As an incentive, the Tigers are providing over $25,000 in cash and prizes to the members, who assist with this unprecedented membership referral campaign.
And, Operation 10,000 has struck an instant chord with the Tiger faithful . . .
“We are delighted with the initial response to the campaign,” said Richmond’s Membership Manager Cain Liddle.
“So far, we’re tracking well ahead of projections, and the priority now is to build on this early momentum.
“We urge those members, who aren’t aware of how the referral campaign works, to follow the prompts to Operation 10,000 on the Club’s website (richmondfc.com.au), or call the membership department on 1300 742 466.
“Anyone who refers a new member by the end of January, goes into the draw to win lunch with Matthew Richardson . . .”
Overall membership sales at Richmond are up on the corresponding stage last year and are on a par with the record-breaking 2009 figure. The Tigers currently have 19,220 signed members, as they strive for their goal of 46,000 members in 2011.
“The introduction of “3121, The Tiger Sanctum”, which is a new coterie membership for 2011, has been very well received ,” Liddle said.
“This category has already surpassed our original forecasts, which were for 400 members.
“At this stage, it appears the “sold out” sign will go up on this category some time in January. So, if you are considering joining this exciting new coterie, you need to contact the Club quickly.”
