Don't discount us going for Daniel Gorringe if hes still around!

Though Astby was great this year - compare him to alot of other  top big men picks- certainly someone to give us hope.

Griff require should opps but showed courage, speed and kicking skills - no pre- season. MMM - more hope.

Surely you would put them down as encouraging picks at the worst

Well I am not even going to have a crack at who I think we will select with pick 6 and certainly not our other picks either. Last year after the Martin selection there were just too many players we selected that none of us had a clue about... well me at least.

who do you want rfc to take at 6?

Without knowing much about it i think the Victorian mids sound good in heppell, atley, gaff.

I would like be a fly on the wall when Benny gale and hardwick discuss the like if day, gorringe, polec, bennell etc.

I think Gaff,Atley Heppell in that order, in saying that Sam Day was my preference @ 6

I will preface this by saying I am no expert, I got lucky last year !!

cheers Taz

Matt Rendell says the top 5: swallow, bennell, day, heppell/polec

if this was to be the case we have our pick of atley, gaff, smith or a tall

Benny Gale isn't on the list management team so Benny wont have a say  :thumbsup

well he should if you ask me.

The smartest bloke being employed by our football club is Benny.

he should have a say in anything he wants thats how highly i rate his opinion.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

What a silly comment

daniel, Benny Gale is employed to run the business side of the Club not the footy department. His job in part is to ensure that the footy department has all the resources it needs.

So considering as yet we have no major sponsor(s) for 2011 I think Benny's main gig at the minute is to oversee that little matter rather than who we think should draft at pick 6  ;D

regarding outside mid, i know hardwick said it but i don't actually think he said anything about getting one with our first round selection.

you are correct peggles, and he also didn't expect Morton to come back and play really well on the wing, so this outside mid may come from anywhere from trade week to our last pick in the rookie draft or may already be on the list

i'd expect we'll go best available for the first few rounds
