Grigg is and will be a fine player.

Surely the lesson has been learnt not to right off players? Nahas, King etc.

who's writing him off?

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Does being named last on the interchange mean he will start as sub?

I wouldn't think so though the sub needs to be on the team sheet 90 mins before the game.

What did we all think of Grigg's game last night? Dermie on Ch 9 said Grigg was one of the ones who got us back into the game early.

I've been critical of Grigg recently but thought he was better last night.
Not great, but solid.

he's been pretty solid all year. picks up 20 odd possessions week in week out without standing out too much - except for when he makes a few mistakes.

Grigg can have presence when he wants....and 20 odd possies is 20 possies the other team don't get.

Smart draft.

Fair bit of truth in that Brackets.  Jack Dyer would have loved it!

From: Tigers won't relent
By Jennifer Witham
Mon 22 Aug, 2011

The 23-year-old said the move to Punt Road had made him a "more rounded player" after he requested to trade in his navy blue strip for the yellow and black.

"I had to work on aspects of my game in the off-season and have a sit down with [ruck/midfield coach] Brendon Lade and Damien and see how they wanted me to play and where they wanted me to play," he said.

"It's been good. I had to get used to the way the game plan is, because there were some changes from club to club, so it was more about getting the ball the way we wanted to move it and defensively how we wanted to set up.

"The quicker I could learn that, the better it was."

This year, he's missed just one game with a broken eye socket - round 18 against Geelong - and feels he's a better player having strung together his most consistent season since 2008, when he played 20 games.

"I've fitted in pretty well," he said.

"The body is holding up well and I'm enjoying it. It's good to be considered a vital cog in the team and to be a leader as well.

"They targeted three mature players and we've gelled well together and it's been good fun."

Grigg's better than tambling ever was or will be and an upgrade on collins. He's an upgrade and comfortably in our best 18 - stuff me some people expect a starting 18 of bonafide superstars

Grigg is a 25 to 30 player in a good list. If hes in our best 22 then we have a long long long way to go still.

Would have to agree TM I am Happy that we got rid of a skinny flanker and upgraded with Grigg.
It's an upgrade IMO when you compare solely with Collins.
That's as far as I go rating Hartley
I will wait to see what happens in Nov/Dec before I decide on him but his done enough so far.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.
