hopefully he doesnt fall for the if you stay we'll(carlton) give you more game time.

if hes the type of bloke that would make a decision based on that then we will have dodged a bullet. I have total disdain for players with that type of mentality. Work hard for ur spot in the team

He's in the best 22 at Carlton, has no issue getting games was injured this year and was restricted to 8 games averaging 21 possies. He wants to get brownlow votes. Playing with Judd it's impossible.

Damian Barrett and Marty Pask on Trade talk radio are questioning why we are chasing Grigg when we have a few HBFers already. Barrett saying Grigg has had a falling out with Carlton so he wants out.

I am not sure on that.

I would like to see Lids in midfield resting HFF.

Also Connors can play up forward.

I suppose Newy would still have a few years left in him.

I dont mind if he is after a brownlow medal if his committed and willing to put the work in to get to the level of the last 2 winners and comes to us than thats great.

I can see the rational in getting a quality HBFer with elite footskills so it frees up Lids to play elsewhere but Grigg ain't no quality HBFer. His footskills are hit and miss and with Jordie and Blingers gone he'll become the new whipping boy especially if he costs us a decent pick to get him. I hope Grigg ends up on the Gold Coast  :pray.

I reckon the Hardwick way is that all our HBF's will be part of (or capable of being part of) the midfield rotations anyway.  Stacking the hamburger.

Carlton will look at a player swap and/or Richmond's second-round pick for Shaun Grigg, who has chosen the Tigers as his new home.

Yep give them the player swap, Thursty, and regarding another hbf, That is where Tambling played most of his time with us...or at least for a fair while. Agree with Ramps too.

I noticed on Carltanks Bigfooty page that most tanker fans had picked Grigg in there starting team or on the bench for next year! So he can't be to bad of a player. Pick 50 or PSD for mine.

Grigg's manager just said there's been heavy interest from Richmond. That will probably sort itself out over the next couple of days be it a swap for a pick or a player/player swap.

From his point of view Grigg played the last 9 games this year but didn't get opportunities before then. He sees himself as coming through the draft with the likes of Travis Boak who have played 80 games. Grigg wants to go somewhere where he plays footy every week.
