Certainly is on the app and he also mentions Grimes will probably be put in cotton wool until next year but Batch trained well and is a chance for Sat

Reece Conca will miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured toe

Conca was unable to remember injuring the toe during Sunday's 72-point victory over the Western Bulldogs, but he reported to the club sore on Monday.

Elite performance manager Matt Hornsby told the Richmond website scans showed that Conca had a small fracture in his toe.

"It's a relatively short-term problem, but with three games go to it means he won't play again this season," Hornsby said.

"He'll be ready for a full pre-season in season 2013."

Hornsby said Jake Batchelor had trained well this week and was a chance to return from his knee injury if he got through training on Thursday.

He said Dylan Grimes was unlikely to return from his hamstring injury and play again this season.

"We'll try to make sure he builds durability for a long career," Hornsby said.

Conca played 18 games this season while Grimes played nine, failing to reappear after reinjuring his hamstring in round 14. Batchelor has played 12 games.

HE doesn't remember it happening, but Reece Conca fractured his toe on Sunday in a blow that will keep the Tiger midfielder sidelined for the rest of the season.

Conca reported foot soreness to Richmond medicos yesterday morning and a scan showed a fracture, but the Tigers were confident the injury would not hinder his 2013 pre-season.

"Scans showed he’s got a small fracture in his toe, so that means he won’t play again this season,’’ Richmond elite performance manager Matthew Hornsby told the club website.

"He’ll start his rehab straight away, it’s only relatively a short-term problem, but with three games to go it means he won’t play again."

Hornsby said Conca had no soreness entering the match, meaning the incident would have occurred in the 70-point win against the Western Bulldogs, despite the first-round pick unsure when it happened.

Conca joins Dylan Grimes (hamstring), Nathan Foley (achilles) and Ty Vickery (shoulder) as Tigers out of action until 2013.
