Conca will have more possessions than Heppell this year. Bookmark it! ;D

Yeah but at least Heppell won't turn it over....

Tiger's high hamstring injury worse than first thought

RICHMOND midfielder Reece Conca is likely to miss the first two months of the season after it was revealed his "high" hamstring injury was worse than first thought.

Conca, who suffered the injury during last Thursday night's NAB Challenge clash against Port Adelaide, has now been ruled out for up to 10 weeks by Tigers medical staff.

Richmond was initially optimistic that the 23-year-old has suffered a standard hamstring injury but last Friday stretched his recovery time to eight weeks.

On Wednesday, physical performance manager Peter Burge said scans had revealed the tendon damage on his right leg had occurred high up, which typically leads to an even longer recovery.

Conca suffered three separate hamstring injuries last season and only managed to play three games.

"Reece has got a hamstring injury high up near the tendon, so it's a longer-term process and (he'll be out for) eight to 10 weeks unfortunately," Burge told the club's website.

"It's on the side that he hasn't hurt before, so we start the rehab process and look forward to getting him back as soon as we can."

10 weeks gives me a level of comfort. Better than 6 or 8.

One of our best tacklers.

Hope he has a good run in the magoos to get his confidence up prior to his return. Shouldn't be rushed back like he and Griff were last year in the EF. :banghead

Standing up tackle on the last line in the practice game was top draw
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

In 2014, when he played 19 games, he averaged 5.1 tackles per game which was the highest in the team that year. He has not played much since.

Conca. Lmao. Never liked him, never would have given him 300k a year. What a pathetic business call. Would have kept Matty White at the club.

Probably. But others didn't even bother tackling at all. So 5 laid and 7 missed is better than none laid.
