Culture won't begin to change until the old board is gone, if not just for the sake of new beginnings.

If no one was interested. Is there any reason why we give our players 2 year contracts?

Other clubs have good players on one year contracts who fight for the right to stay on the list and perform.

I think it's because he will be like a new recruit, new recruits get 2 year contracts
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

So we can pay him less over each season and trade him after the first and therefore save money?

Perhaps, but given he has done nothing for a number of seasons his income should be refective of that and his trade value right now is clearly zero as he is still at the club

Don't think even we'd keep a bloke on out list for another 90 years Chucky....

Hmmmmm..........
I cannot stand players that want to play this game but are to scared to put their body on the line every second of every game. That is the minimum we should expect.
To add to that he plays for SuperCoach points, not willing to back his foot skills to benifit the side, preferring to kick it backwards and sideways.

I'm no fan of Conca but he is willing to crack in and even though his skills aren't elite he still is willing to take the chance of moving the footy our way, knowing that it may not come off and potentially making him look bad but has a go.

No other coach in the league would let Bellis get away with being so insipid.

Yes. But, theres also nothing brave about hitting opposition players in the back of the head and all of eating your team mates energy bars
