Ball use is still a issue.

Yep

Decision making at times is poor too.

But the kicking is hit and miss, more miss that hit

Final qtr, kicked to a one on one contest inside our F50, kicked favoured the Ess player

That's a miss in my book

2nd qtr on the broadcast side kick in air in hope, a nothing kick. Again that sort of stuff is a miss

Probably the biggest issue with him is his decision making/disposal. He is also judged more harshly because he was a pick 6. Does not have anywhere near the polish of a pick 6. I know it's not his fault he was selected there but he was. Is now a reasonable depth player IMHO but that's all.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

OMG every player playing misses targets every game. He does miss a few but his good general play outweighs his errors. I like the kid :thumbsup

Two kicks???????

He puts his head over the ball is composed in traffic and hits most of his targets.

He must be a spud unlike Houli who hits every target (not) puts his head over the ball (sometimes) And is composed in tight situations (sometimes)

Houli is a flawed player but his positives far outweigh the negatives so he contributes to the team.

Conca was in our best 6 every week last season until his foot was stomped on so how about loosing the bias and judging him fairly.

This is where I think he sits, and he would know that.

But he is going to be a very useful depth player if, and it is a big if, his body can stand up to the rigours of AFL football.

We often identify the lack of a second tall forward or another ruckman as being weaknesses in our list, but realistically, we aren't exactly wallowing in quality midfield back-ups.

For all his knocks, I think Conca is a lot more versatile as a depth player than a number of our other depth midfielders (I am talking guys like Miles, Lloyd, Menadue, and Corey Ellis as opposed to the younger players coming through). And his defensive game is better than any mid on our list not currently playing AFL regularly.

I know there are some who have him tagged as a half back flanker type, and he looks pretty comfortable in that role for sure, but I think he can midfield if required to do so.

Sorry for trying to discuss strengths and weaknesses.

He has no flaws. He’s the perfect player.

You ok now?

Discussing flaws is fine Willy but lets keep it in perspective.

I gave a couple of examples, i thought that's what you wanted  :huh3

Could give more if you want.

I was at the game and i wasnt the only thinking about his disposal and decision making. As a bloke behind me said "it's heart in mouth stuff with Conca", and I agree.

It's all about opinions, we all have 'em and we're all entitled to 'em and we don't all have to agree with 'em

Can anyone confirm if Reece Conca's relatives post on here if not I will put the Conca love down to Premiership hangover that will dissipate when we lose a close one and he has a crucial shocking turnover.

I remember him playing well early last season. Let's see if he can perform with our new game plan (as in not pre-2017 style). I think it'll suit him as he seems to stuff up with the more time he has

You mean when he looked up and kicked it to a 2 on 1 in our favour and Dusty marked it?

You got it right WP there were two poor kicks the rest either hit the target or went to our advantage.

If you are able to watch the replay have a look at Houli in comparison, Conca out performed Houli on the day including his disposal.
