Used the ball so well tonight.

His appetite for the contest knows no satiety.

Just keeps getting back up.

Left his man and contested and won ball he had no right to win.

That mark he took on the second grab in the last running 30 metres off his man to get to the contest and win it was just indicative of how he plays he generally plays his footy.

If he can play like that week in week out and free up Lids into the midfield and Conca into the midfield..... we will be much better off as a side and much more dangerous.

Good to see he has put his pre season form behind him and put up his hand for selection and grabbed his opportunity with both hands. Signs of a player solid in mind and attitude. :thumbsup

even allowing for the loss in height, the side was a lot better for him replacing post. he is everything that post is not.

IMO the reason his form was average in the pre-season was because he was playing in the midfield. He is not a midfielder. He is a natural backman and a bloody good one at that.  :thumbsup

was awesome - commitment to man and contest was everything we need going forward...hopefully some of his passages of play are singled out for certain others to watch & that they realise what is required in terms of ferocity/desire/intent - shame it takes such a young feller to lead the way for some of our more senior blokes...good decision making & foot skills as well...

Batch made one of Robbo's unsung heroes for the weekend...

UNSUNG HERO

2. JAKE BATCHELOR

Indicative of Richmond's attitude in the third quarter was Batchelor's chase-down tackle on Aaron Davey, which resulted in 55m goal for Reece Conca. Most of his teammates ran to Conca, the coach would've highlighted Batchelor.
