After a lacklustre preseason which saw him miss/dropped for round 1, Batch has really been strong and solid for us down back 3 weeks running since returning to the side. Reads the play well and shows good composure under pressure for bloke in just his 2nd year.

He just makes the game look simple.  He refuses to make it complex. Spoils when he needs to, marks when he needs to, kicks to advantage and chases/tackles when he doesn't have the ball.  He also blocks and makes space when he is required to.

You don't have to be Einstein to do all these things! :whistle

Are you serious BJ.

I agree on the very good emerging player but the only coincidence with Jake and Joelene is the number 11 guernsey.

Jake is far  far tougher. Exactly what we need off half back.

Batch interviewed in the rooms after the game:

Loved the way he corrected the interviewer about the location of next weeks game.  Fantastic young man!!!!
