Disposal let him down but was okay today.
Will need to do a job on Aaron Black next week.

Here in lies his problem, disposal, I hope he can improve.. :-\...With the way Arnott played Batch could lose his spot, provided Arnott keeps going, we won't be able to afford sloppy disposal out of the backline come finals.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Batchelor's first quarter was poor but he worked his way into the game which he deserves credit. That spot is very much up for grabs

Ahhhhh it all makes sense now, Dimma has left Arnot in the burgers so long to develop him as the League's first ever 179cm KP backman! look forward to seeing him line up on Drew this week, could be a master stroke :shh :shh :shh

Jake Batchelor joined Chrisso & McGuane today, as the Tigers continue their march towards the finals, with a 64-point win over the Saints at the MCG on Sunday. They'll be looking for a fifth straight win this weekend, when they take on North Melbourne ...

Consistency the key for Batchelor
By richmondfc.com.au
Tuesday, July 2, 2013

Jake's challenge, he admits, is to work on consistency of performance.

“I’ve missed out through depth, pretty much.  I’ve been pushed out a bit,” he said.

“For me a big thing is consistency.  It’s about getting my body right every single week and playing consistent team football.”

Jake has saved our chops several times covering for an injured defender or whatever. Required player.

Can see him spending most of his career in and out of the team depending on injuries and match-ups. Not really a bad thing to have.
