Can play imo, good kick and reads the play well, just needs to play to strengths and work on major weakness which is mobility, but gotta say have seen an improvement in his speed and agility this season. Would persevere with.

As a club we give away a lot of dumb free kicks, and Batch is right up there for that.
Hard at it player but just try's to hard at times and get clumsy.
Congrats on 50 games.

I agree. Watched him continually running to space to create options even though he was overlooked. Best game I've seen him play.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Next up is Jake Batchelor.

Batch played 13 games in his 4th year of AFL to take his career tally to 52. After being overlooked for the first half of the year, Jake was brought back into the seniors in round 12 vs North (his first seniors game in 11 months) and maintained his spot for the rest of the season (9 wins/4 losses). His best return was 22 disposals against St Kilda in round 22 with a career high 17 kicks.

Neah; plays the man not the ball, is too slow, is not skilled enough, turns the ball over, apart from some good man on man stuff I don't rate him and i don't think he is the way forward.

Yeah.
Is not overly quick, but reads the play well and therefore gets to the contest, is hard at the ball and can play short or tall (ish).
Keep.

Will keep if not traded

Saw some improvement as he was given a run of games. One of our better tacklers which just shows how poor we are in that area

Deserves some credit for his intercept in the last 30 odd seconds of the Swans game where he copped one in the snout (no free BTW)... I know the captain gave the credit in his post match to Newman but it was Batch who won that contest (despite Newman's best efforts to stuff it up  ;D), perfect decision and offload to Vlastuin... it's a pity people at the minute only remember how terrible he was in the Elim final  ;D

Fair post. Agree one of the few who makes his tackles stick. If not traded believe has to improve next season otherwise should be delisted
