No middle ground with old Claw. Player is either developing nicely or a hack, oxygen thief terrorist.
ive given hi 4 yrs i think that is plenty for his type.
people are saying hes improved, i disagree hes got bloody worse.

i scratch my head with people i ask do they really look at the type of player they are commenting on. do they have a realistic development time frame in mind, do they look at  their overall  performances, or look at  the glaring weaknesses that are there and say hey they cant perform their role consistently well with these deficiencies.
do they  even look at the stats to back up what they see. clearly they dont.

a 188cm bloke with some glaring weaknesses in his game given 4 yrs whose performance level is that of a first yr beginner.
if we want to hang onto blokes like batchelor we wont want to delist anyone. its happens its lets give em another yr they may come good lets just ignore all the kpis.

Fair dinkum I don't know any other way of putting this, but sometimes I think you troll this site with faux stupidity. You can't be serious?

I think one more year for Batch is fair. He started to show signs in the second half of this year. If he doenst go up again next year then get  out the door. He might actually develop into an undersized KPD like Josh Gibson. Not saying he will be as good but I think he has some development left in him given his size. Rance started to really come on at about the same time of his career.
I think that your opinions on players are too hardline, too black and white.
okay then what signs.what do you expect from a 4th yr medium sized hbf what attributes and where do you think his performance level should be at after 4 yrs.

oh thats great. i have one thing to ask show me where im wrong.rather than just calling people stupid enlighten us all.  tell us where you think batchelor should be at. actually rate his performances. tell me just how long he should be given, and god forbid show where he improved.

you know what is stupid people with with an opinion with nothing to back it up.
what is stupid is people defending players after 4 yrs who cant get a kick , make howlers arer so slow its silly give away inordinate amounts of free kicks  doesnt tackle enough theres a reason for that he cant keep up. i can go on if you like.
a medium sized player 4 yrs in with all of the above and more and im the stupid one for criticising him. it really is  golden. you see im not offended by the insults they really are quite amusing

I'm with claw on this one.  Has no attributes that scream keep.
At least with Griffiths we can see what potentially he can offer us.

Hope he proves me wrong. :gotigers

It pains me to admit it but I'm with the hater as well, Batch has done and shown nothing in way too long

No, the main point is we have a host of hacks aged 23+

And yet the focus is on delisting the 22 year old, who may come good as opposed to those that have no room for improvement

Why can't we just get rid of both?

mate i dont hate anyone. all i have ever done is judge players applying my own criteria. i mean to say is 4 yrs too short a period to not be making a call.

No, the main point is we have a host of hacks aged 23+

we all know we have hacks aged 23 plus but those hacks have actually outperformed batchelor. those hacks have no value because of exposure and age. batchelor doesnt. if we cant make calls on these types after 4 yrs of exposure we will never ever get anywhere.
we should be trying to get a return on our investment while we still have a slim chance to get something.

Cause you cannot delist 25 people unless you join the church of claw
thats golden judge as usual yopu show just how ignorant you are. hmm  move on 25 players  possibly, but not in one yr not likely in two but could go close  3 yrs will suffice though. ffs we have hardly touched the list this yr and have cut 9.  but that is beside the point.
the issue is hanging onto players for so long it becomes abundantly clear to everyone that they arent worth a thing. i have never understood this rampant need to hang onto players for one more yr then one more after that just in case.
4 yrs is an ample amount of time to make a call on players like batchelor its probably too long when you see the obvious and shocking weaknesses in his game.

HOORAY HE AT EAST RECOGNISES SOME OF HIS WEAKNESSES AND IS DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

THE CLUB SHOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS AREA OF HIS GAME FROM DAY DOT. YET IT SEEMS HES DONE IT OFF HIS OWN BAT.

Think they probably have recognised this is an area for improvement and told Batch, he's just put the extra effort in himself to add the extra sessions
